make some extra $ doing focus groups

Since I know focus groups have been mentioned here as a way to earn extra $ for a trip, I thought I would share this info...

In doing a little searching today I came across a site that lets you find the names of companies in your area that conduct focus groups. Most have web sites with sections to sign up as part of their pannel. I used to do these in college and would make anywhere from $35 to $200 per session on them.

Just thought I would pass it along in case anyone else is interesting in joining focus pannels...

the focus groups I have been to here in the Dallas Area were
a group session with about 10 of us talking about our likes or dislikes about certain products like food, or a service like bug spray companies, it lasted 2 hours and I got paid between $60 and $75 for my time!!

We also have a place where you can be a research "body" for new products on the market (coming to anyway) you know it is lipstick or sunscreen and such but not a brand , it is usually a "patch" study , these last about 4 - 6 weeks and pay anywhere from $100 to $250 for your time and trouble.

Thanks! Going to check it out now. I used to be on a focus group list in my area, but haven't gotten a call in several years. The focus groups I did do paid great & were actuallly fun. Hope I can get on a new list in my area.

If you click in the name of the company it should take you either to their web site directly or to a page with their contact info. Look and see if there is a web address listed on the contact inof page. All the ones in my area that I've done so far have had web sites and all have had a link on the home page to sign up for their databse. If they don't have a web site, write down the phone # and call and ask what you need to do to be added to their database.
