What would you recommend, what do you love? What would you stay away from? I am thinking about getting a new vehicle and I have no idea what I want. I know I don’t want, Dodge, Hyundai or Kia. I would like fairly good gas mileage. Anything except a truck. Tia

I really like my Chevy Cruz and my mother’s Chevy Malibu the few times I have driven it.

I have a Toyota Highlander and love it. Favorite car I’ve ever had.

Me, too!

Mine is a 2004 and I don't even want a newer one because I'm afraid I won't like it as much. 150,000 miles and just put new tires on it last weekend.

What year is yours?

past personal issues
I don't know how far in the past that issue was, but Kia and Hyundai are considerably better cars then they were in the past. I had a 2011 Kia min van as a long term service loaner(2000 Windstar had a recall for a rear axle problem) and I hated it. When that van finally gave up in 2017, I no longer needed a van and ended up with a Kia Optima. I liked the fact that Kia offered a 10 year 100k mile power train warranty. 3 1/2 years later I'm still happy with my choice(including my monthly payment)

I have had/now have either Honda or Nissans. The newer Nissans have slightly edged out Honda. I have a 2019 Pathfinder and love it.

Mine is a 2013. Has a little under 102,000 miles. My parents had a 2006 or maybe 2007. They loved it. My mom didn’t want to get rid of it when it was approaching 200,000 and my dad did. They ended up with a RAV4. My dad likes it a lot too.

I have to laugh because my adult daughter needed a new car but didn't think my Highlander was stylish enough for her. She ended up having to borrow my car for a few months and when she bought her car, she bought the RAV4! I do like that car, too.

The Highlander is a really nice car/SUV. I think it's great if you have kids or if you need to haul or move stuff, but it still gives you a nice ride. It's the right height for me to get in and out of and probably saved me from back surgery.

I'm glad to know the newer Highlanders are still lovable!

I have a 2018 Camry, 2018 accord, and 2012 Altima. The Altima gave us zero issues until 100k when we replaced the alternator. It now has 130K. The other 2 obviously have been trouble free so far. I don’t like how the Camry shifts. It’s an 8 speed automatic and shifts hard in certain conditions. The Honda runs beautifully but does not have the buttons on the handle to unlock the doors so my son gets to drive that car. I love driving it though and love the looks of it.

We also have a 2007 explorer that is the biggest piece of junk we have ever owned. Two transmission rebuilds. Fuel pump. Some thing that leaked coolant replaced twice. Many more issues I can’t even remember. And we have only had the car for 5 years. Just a mess.

Husband wants a new SUV. Considering RAV4, CR V, Equinox, Tucson, or Rogue. He says they are all girl cars but wants better gas mileage than the bigger ones get.

2019 Honda Pilot elite. Perfect suv. My favorite vehicle ever.

I am so laughing at this thread. When I was in my early 20s, if you asked me what car I wanted my only answer was - red!!!!
Life is awesome
