Does anyone have a mixed drink recipe that you can make ahead of time? I need to bring something to an outdoor party that will be easy to serve.

If it was totally up to me I'd rather have something that's not too sweet, but I'm not going to be picky at this point!

Thank you!

Is everyone bringing drinks? I would just bring my portable bar.;)

I am partial to margaritas myself. I finally ran out of my Jose Cuervo and now I am going for the Patron as my next purchase because I am trying to cut out the mixes or go natural with the mix. Patron with a splash of lime and some Cointreau.

My dh likes 7&7's.

I had to give up wine due to reflux. It saddens me.

I like to make a green apple margarita (or even a plain one) to take to outdoor parties. I mix it up in a big insulated jug or put it in a pitcher in a cooler. I pretty much substitute green apple schnapps for the tequila but otherwise I just make it like a regular margarita. You can add both if you want-I just don't like tequila that much.

I make it blended sometimes and sometimes not.

You could also make bloody marys if you want. :thumbsup2

Would a green appletini be too sweet? Just pour in some bottles of mix and add vodka.

My vote would be for sangria or margaritas. You can buy a giant bucket of margarita mix and some tequila, and then just pour it all into a cooler when you get there.

Carolina Peach Sangria. this is always a hit when I take it some where.

Ingredients
1 (750-milliliter) bottle rosé wine
3/4 cup vodka*
1/2 cup peach nectar
6 tablespoons thawed frozen lemonade concentrate
2 tablespoons sugar
1 pound ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
1 (6-oz.) package fresh raspberries**
2 cups club soda, chilled
Preparation
1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a pitcher; stir until sugar is dissolved. Stir in peaches and raspberries. Cover and chill 8 hours.

2. Stir in chilled club soda just before serving.

*Peach-flavored vodka may be substituted. Omit peach nectar.

**1 cup frozen raspberries may be substituted.

I make the Jungle Juice (like they serve at Tusker House) and add Vodka. I then dump ice in at the party.

Sangria is great too but you have to make quite a bit to serve more than 4 people.

I'm definitely going to try that Peach Sangria recipe this summer. It sounds fantastic.

Yum!!! They all sound so good!

Do you have a jungle juice recipe?

What about slush? You can make any flavor you want, freeze in an ice cream bucket and then at the party, scoop out however much you want and add Sprite or 7-up to the cup. :)

There are tons of recipes online, if you google. Cranberry, lemonade, etc

Like a pina colada martini and though you think it may sound sweet, I dont like sweet drinks either, this one is just a hint of sweet....delicious and you can make it up days ahead...I ususally make it at least 4 days before but up to a week before
We usually double the recipe...it is not too sweet but is coconutty, deliciousy pineapple...When we have leftovers, which is not often, I strain out the pineapple and put them in a bottle in the freezer where they get slushy and yummy. We have found that 4 days of marinating time is when it really starts to get good...

1-1/2 (750 mL) bottles Skyy Vodka (or 4-1/2 cups)
1/2 (750 mL) bottle Malibu Rum (1-1/2 cups)
1/4 bottle Stolichnaya Vanil (3/4 cup)
1 pineapple cut into 1-inch chunks
1/4 cup sugar

Chop up the pineapple and put in container. Pour in the remaining ingredients and give a quick stir and allow the pineapples to marinate for at least two days in the fridge. To serve, ladle approximately 4 ounces of the liquor into a stainless steel shaker half filled with ice. Shake 30 times, and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a wedge of marinated pineapple and enjoy!

You can use any vodka you like or any vanilla vodka you like, this is just how the recipe was written when given to me. We usually use Tito's vodka & Stoli Vanilla. This is soooo good. And we only ever use fresh pineapple. Find the ripest one you can!
