Make A Wish Sends Lauren to Disney World! * IT IS FINISHED...* *Updated 1/28/09*

Hey guys! First of all, we had an absolutely MAGICAL first few days! I can't wait to tell you all of the details...

But, we are having some issues. Lauren and Lisa got sick first...stomach bug...and now William has it. Lauren had to go to the emergency room last night and get fluids and some antibiotics as well. She seems to be feeling better today, although we have taken the day off and hopefully that will help...we could really use your prayers!! Hopefully we can get back to a magical vacation tomorrow!

Thank you guys!! I can't wait to give you all of the details of the trip! Although we are disappointed that we have been sick, the trip has overall been awesome with lots of cool surprises (PIXIE DUST!)

Actually...I am totally depressed! We had such a good time!

Thank you all for all of your prayers! After taking the day off on Monday, we were able to get back to the magic on Tuesday! I can't wait to give you all of the details!

I still have the pictures from the last part of the Big Give! And I will post those soon!!! Also...I will be starting a NEW trip report...soon...I promise! We have LOTS of pictures...although I wish I had taken more! We will get Photopass and have a couple of other sources of pictures...several different cameras, etc, that have to be downloaded and organized...so it may be a few days before I can give you guys the full scoop!

We have been overwhelmed with the gifts and support we have been given from all of our DISboards friends!!

By the last few days before our trip, though, I was not at the Compere house as much (we were trying to give us all some space from each other so that when we were TOGETHER all week long we would LIKE each other! )

all that to say...it took me a while to get these pictures together to pose this update...sorry!!!

First I have to share this...Lauren had Homecoming week at school the week before we left and this is what she wore for "Rocker Day"...

And Lauren with her PRINCIPAL!

She thought the skirt was soooo cool that she wore it to school before we even left to go on the trip!

Then we got this skirt...

And this bracelet, which was so cool, it has an official Mickey Mouse hand on it! So cute!

And these pillow cases. Note...these are all ON pillows! We have used them every night since we got them. They were all perfect for us!

The Big Give was SOOOOO awesome. We appreciate all of your hard work! I will be signing up to help today...so I hope you guys "approve" me. This was so much fun for us...I can't wait to pay it forward!

Wow...we were totally surprised when our awesome friends from MAW showed up on Monday night with all of this stuff....

including a cake...

And a basket full of goodies...no picture! can you believe that I forgot to take a picture of THAT?

Is this family not SOOO sweet!

(I snuck in a picture of Muffin...my precious yorkie...see her? Is she not the cutest dog ever! She did NOT get to go to Disney World. Oh well.)

For now...Let me introduce the cast for the trip:

Lauren: The Wish Teen! Lauren is 15, has cerebral palsy, uses a wheelchair to get around. She qualified for a wish because she has a significantly low lung capacity and uses a baclofen pump. She is a diva! Makes straight A's in school because she works really hard and had a blast in Disney World.

William: Lauren's little brother. William is 9 years old. William actually has some medical issues, too. He is lactose intolerant, has stomach ulcers, frequent headaches and generally doesn't feel well a lot of the time. But he had a BLAST in Disney World!

Richard, Lauren's Dad: Richard is a Type I brittle diabetic. He is a very fun and funny person and has never met a stranger! He was a trip on this trip!

Lauren's Mom, Lisa: Momma of Lauren and William, Wife to Richard and my best friend. Lisa gets a little stressed sometimes...as she has lots to do to take care of her 2 awesome kids and loving husband!

Then there is Me: My friends call me Maroo. Short for Mary...well, not really, but a lot more FUN. I went on this trip to help Lauren with her medical stuff (I am her CNA) and keep Lisa sane. Make A Wish was wise to send me, because we certainly needed three adults on this trip!

I am in the process of organizing pictures from 4 CD's and two cameras...so it will be a few days before I can get this party started!
