The mother of a boy in my boys' kindergarten class has just been told she has 16 months to live. This woman has lead a hard life...grew up in foster care....has two boys - 5 years and 5 months and she is only 22. She is an Amazing person, Amazing mother...you would never think she'd be the person she is with her past.

Of course being a Disney fan and having the best memories there with my boys, I would love for her to be able to take her boys. Does anyone know of an organization that would help provide this? Thanks in advance for any help!

Here are a few national organizations. There are several state organizations too, so you may want to google "last wish" "adult" and your state name to see if anything pops up. Good luck!

Dream Foundation
Dream Foundation is a national wish-granting organization who grants the wishes of terminally ill adults aged 18 to 65.

Her Heart's Wish
National organization dedicated to granting the wishes of adult women who are facing terminal illness.

Never Too Late
Staffed by a passionate group of volunteers who donate their time and talents to help make the dreams and wishes of the forgotten elderly and terminally ill adults come true.

Make a Wish might know how to help.

Contact your local Make-A-Wish foundation and ask them for a referral.
I have worked with the director for our local one and these people do amazing work.

Wow, how sad. I hope an organization will help them out. Makes me count my blessings....

You may also want to look into organizations that might be set up to do something special for children with a terminally ill parent. The way I see it, the more organizations you check out, the better your chances of finding one that can help.

How sad. I work at a Comfort Care home and we just lost a young mom...she had lots to live for ..3 boys, the youngest 13...I know the time frame for her was way too short...so whatever can be done should be done quickly...prayers are needed and lots of them...
