1 year suspensions, $5 million in fines and 4 draft picks lost doesn't seem like that much. Given the opportunity, I think a lot of teams would gladly give that up in order to get a World Series title.

I also think Carlos Beltran should have gotten suspended, since he was part of the cheating even if he was just a player at the time.

Alex Cora of the Red Sox might get suspended as well, seeing as he was the Astros bench coach in 2017, and the Sox are being investigated for a separate sign stealing issue in 2018.

To be honest, these two teams should be stripped of their World Series titles from 2017 and 2018. A bit extreme, yes, but that would further help get the message across about doing stuff like this.

Head coach should know what his coaches are doing with the players. The buck stopped with Payton, so I feel like the suspension was warranted.

As for being fired, I think that really is a team decision. Tom Benson chose to keep Payton. Jim Crane decided to cut bait.
