after reading about them on the boards the last few weeks, i bought my first set of CROCS :Pinkbounc they are great and sooo comfortable! considering i have god awful feet, i am really happy about how good they feel! the only problem????????? my %#@# cat keeps trying to eat them! she is obsessed with them. i'm going to have to hide them on top of my dryer with everything else in the house i don't want her to eat since those are the ONLY doors in the house she can't open. ugh!! LOLOL! :confused3

PS anyone want a nice sweet loving kitty??? i'm thinking the local chinese food place may want to buy her real cheap.... :rotfl2:

PPS before i get flamed, i'm only kidding about the chinese food thing! lol :rotfl:

My knock-off crocs seem pretty sturdy. Not sure my cat could do much damage to 'em. :cat:

ahaha
Cheap kitty
Lol don't give her away
just hide the crocs
Lucky for my my cat dosen't eat shoes
goog luck though :Pinkbounc

Susan, Your Siamese cats are beautiful! :thumbsup2

We lost our last Siamese over five years ago now and I still miss him so very much. They are incredible cats. I would love another one but they are few and far between around here. Plus DH loves the old fashion ones with the apple heads on them.

We have a new stray that is all white and seems to have some Oriental shorthair in her. She is a sweetie  but not a Siamese!

I just ordered Crocs for our family. I hope this new kitten does not decide to eat ours! :crazy2:

That spray that can be purchased in pet stores to keep them from scratching? We sprayed it on the drapes and shades as BACI :cat: decided she had to climb everything in the house. It worked. I think you could spay a little on a napkin and wipe the Crocs. I have 2 pairs and DD has 1 and so far no one has nibbled them!

thank you for your compliment! i am so sorry about your kitty! :worried: i know how unique and special siamese cats can be. they have such amazing personalities and are not easily replaced. the little beast that i wrote about, the seal point, was actually a "bereavement gift" to my other 2. they are mom and daughter and 2 years ago we lost their mom/grandma, grandma/great grandma within 5 days of each other  very bad week, lol. so my mom convinced me to get them a kitten bc they were so devastated over the deaths. well, needless to say, we have not had a moments rest since! this cat is insane! she is the sweetest, most loving, fun, smart, etc cat i have ever met. but the chewing is unbelievable. she chews carpets, blankets, cat bed, paper, plastic, stuffed animals, towels, purses, shoes, etc  i had to remove the rugs and toilet seat cover from the bathroom, hide all plastic to include my newspaper, bread. the dryer has a huge pile of stuff on it! she wasn't weaned early (9 weeks) so there is no cause. it's just her! i have tried 3 different anti pet sprays, a noise machine that scared me more than her bc i would walk into the area and forget it was there! a zap mat (very low 9V, but not fun when you walk on it at 3am with bare feet) a "spiky mat" that she actually liked to lay on, lol. nothing works! so now it's the crocs, she is stalking me all day waiting for an opportunity, lol! :rotfl2: but yes, i do love her to death :goodvibes any other good ideas, please let me know! as you can see, i'm trying! and i tell her all the time "i'm going to call Shing Loon to see if they want you" and she knows i'm bluffing :scratchin ahhh!!!

oh! you know those water coolers you put the big 5 gallon water jugs on? well, she learned how to work that and would drain it for fun! gallons of water on my carpet! so now i have 2 hot water safety things on there. she still tries... determined little bugger!! :lmao:

Too funny Susanwashere... maybe you walked through some tuna?

my DD has been walking around singing we are Siamese if you please all week with the Lady and The Tramp commercials on TV!!!

My dogs have left my crocs alone... I did have a bad static shock problem with them earlier this week - but it has been resolved since I could turn off the heat!!! My puppy likes my Lands End Mocs....

My cat chews on my Crocs too! I just got a new pair and I have to keep them in the closet. My other 2 pair have teeth marks all over the toes. I took him to the vet recently and she was complimenting him on how clean his teeth were. I said it was because he was cleaning them on my Crocs!! :lmao:

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with this problem! :confused3

that is so funny! it reminds me of a time my friend came down to go to the boardwalk and had on a pair of flip flops. she ended up changing into more comfy shoes. so when we were there, i asked where she left her flip flops and she said my living room floor. i was like  all i could picture was black foam all over my house (like the brown leather pocketbook i found in pieces when coming back from wdw after xmas this year!) so we got home and one flip was in the living room, the flop across the room with tons of teeth marks in them! i felt so bad! :guilty: they were her faves! she still wears them - holes and all!

and the tuna thing gave me an idea - i wonder if i should make a spray or paste out of maybe gulden's mustard? put it on my crocs, carpets, etc. lol. i wonder if that would finally be the thing to work. but then again, my house will smell rancid and this wacko would probably love it! :confused3

I wonder if you could spray them with the stuff that keeps dogs from teething on stuff around the house? It's called Bitter Apple and you can get it at most pet stores. It worked miracles with our first puppy, who was sure that every piece of furniture was her chew toy! You might give that a try!

I am appalled at your suggestion of sending your cats to the chinese food restaurant. People like you should not be allowed to own animals!!!!

jerseylicious, i'm sure you'd send your darling little daughter to Shing Loon well before i would send any of my angels. lolol!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

i tried the bitter apple on my bathroom rugs and toilet seat cover. worked for about an hour! then found them in my bedroom with 1000 blue fibers all over the place. and then tried 2 others that smelled sooo gross. didn't work. ugh! even tried pepper, which is funny bc that's her name. didn't work. i just bought some anti kitty tape to try. cost me 10 bucks. but after the hundreds i've spent on zappers, sprays, etc. i'm willing to try! :hyper:

You got that straight!!!!!!!!

send that poor creepola to live with her auntie susan and the chew happy cat!

I swear I read on another CROCS thread that they are edible. I'm serious. Because if you were lost in the woods or something for days (wearing your CROCS of course) you could eat them to stay alive. I'm pretty sure I read that on here somewhere!

Maybe they are just made of something your cat can't resist!

Susan your siamese cats are beautiful!! My moms siamese is sitting on my lap right now. He is moms, but for some reason he thinks he is mine and is always with me :rotfl:
We are lucky, we have 4 cats in our house and non of them really eat anything. Well, my cat Jagr eats plastic bags if you leave them out :( My sister has a dog though that eats everything. Have you tried spraying them with a scent that your cats don't like?

I haven't bought mine yet but do you think the demonic chewing puppy in my sig will try to chew them? ;) They would last about 30 seconds. I need to get more spray. I ran out as I had to spray the whole house.

thank you!! give your kitty a hello from all of us :goodvibes you are so lucky that yours don't chew too much. i have the plastic bag issue too, so i always have to be sure they are put away. i've tried 3 different anti-pet sprays. :headache: i just got the idea from someone that cats don't like citrus, so i'll have to try some of that. wish me luck ;)
