MAJOR changes to Genie+!

If that were true then they wouldn’t need to reduce capacity….
It's just the start. They have to wait til the end of the year to make any major changes due to all the advanced sales of Genie+. Which is why they are giving refunds for those who bought for 2023.

I will give Disney credit in that they understand it's not working. They realize the problem is too many people have it. My hope is they raise to $100 and limit sales. At that price many wouldn't buy it.

So...Bob "Paycheck" has decided he wants Disney to be more like Universal and Six Flags...hmmm... I remember when Universal and Six Flags tried to be more like Disney . How the worm has turned . His changes may make Disney more money over the short term but his continuing money grabs continue to disenfranchise Disney's loyalist fans and supporters and push more and more away from the house of mouse . Hope his days are numbered and that he is gone before he does anymore damage to the Disney experience we all love(d) and/or the Disney brand .

The flaw with everyone who says “I hope they drastically reduce capacity” is that you assume for some reason that you *you* will definitely be one of the ones who gets to buy it. If they drastically reduce capacity it will be a madhouse to buy genie whenever the magical time is that it goes live. It’ll be like getting a ROTR VQ during peak times.
I'm wondering what Guardians ILL will be. Actually in that respects will they raise the ILL prices too? Those are already dynamic pricing.

Pricing alone won't correct things unless they go to more USO style pricing (IMO).

Exactly what’s going on at Seaworld and NCL. Marketing and Sales 101 is making customers believe that they are getting a bargain while charging exactly how much the companies really want to make. It’s very elementary.
Just an FYI, you're arguing with someone who thinks it isn't fair for consumers to complain about being charged for a worse version of a service they used to get for free and that we should be thanking Disney for being so kind to us for so long. It's best to just leave it be.

Who is that? I never said any of that. Lol.
I guess you didn’t read what the moderator said about being respectful.

Which has absolutely nothing to do with the point of this discussion.

I’m going to put you on ignore now. Good day.

You a few hours ago...
I said it wasn’t a fair complaint because it’s not a worse product. That’s your opinion. Don’t presume to state it as fact.

Again, being rude is against the rules. Please don’t respond to me any further if you can’t be civil.

I think we’re only on step .5 out of like 20 for changes to come to genie+. Disney hasn’t even announced anything and look how much ******* it’s produced lol.

Genie+ the way it is now won’t work long term.
No backpedaling now - you promised only I will be guaranteed a purchase :)

Sale price is not apples to apples. But like I said, I only need ONE data point to prove that what the poster said was false.

And arguing this one silly position is counterintuitive the the point of the conversation. This is inherently the problem with internet discussions. People get wrapped up in a single point while completely disregarding the entire topic and point of the thread. And for what? To try and get a “gotcha” on someone and get some satisfaction that you won? Lol. It’s sad.

Focus on the intent. Disney is NOT the most expensive. End of story.

I can't keep up with the discussion...who IS the most expensive (or more expensive then Disney)?

Honestly is either Cap it.

Charge 100 or MORE per person.

or both.

Nothing will fix the system but limiting buyers either through finacial means or forced limits.
Agreed. Because the problem with genie+ is demand. You control demand by raising prices. Or like you said - forced limits.
