I read some time ago that Disney was going to play around with the Fastpass system. At the time it was just rumor. The discussion focused around Disney wanting to offer resort guests special Fastpass privelages based on where you were staying. People staying at deluxe resorts would get more Fastpass privelages than someone at a moderate or value.

I really didn't agree with the article as that is not Disney's philosophy. They try and treat every guest the same. However, who knows if the philosophy is changing.

I Tried to register and it asked what country, I said Canada and then it brings a drop down with the provinces, but no Ontario, every other province, but no Ontario. An oversight or what? When we go to Disney every March
Break I see more Ontario license plates than any other.

I put in the word Ontario beside my town when I entered.

I lived in Barrie and in Dec 05 moved down the 400 to the big evil city of Toronto. Still have my house there maybe we should set up a Dis Meet for all people in Barrie

My guess since it says a year of a million dreams, it will be going on until October 2007 which works great for me because I will be there in August. I missed out on every celebration except for the Millennium one so I am VERY excited I will be there for this one!

We are booked into DW until October 10th. I have not been able to get into the site but am understanding that you can make a wish if you win?

My fondest wish would be to be at DW with my children and grandchildren all at once before I am too sick to go again. I am even willing to pay for the entire cost. I have not seen one of my children or his 4 children, my dear Fab Four, in over 4 years. Long, heartbreaking story.

To share my favorite place with those I love would be a Dream Come True for me.

In the sweepstakes description, it says that "you and your family have exclusive time in the lands of the worlds most enchanted theme park by yourself." I wonder how they'll do it? Maybe personal EMH? Hmmmm...it sounds awesome.

This would be my wish for my mother! I have 3 brothers and she has always wanted for the 4 of us and our families to come to WDW and be with her there together. I have even gone as far as to schedule a date a year in advance that worked with everyone, had flight arrangements for all of us and resorts booked but 1 by 1 each of my brothers had to cancel due to financial reasons. (Unfortunately I can't afford, nor can my mom afford, to pay for thier trips). I still went with my family and my mom that year, but she really wants all of us there. Hopefully someday that dream can come true for her.

It is an official Disney site. When you enter disneyworld.com you are automatically redirected to a disney.go.com site. I would expect a link on their Disneyworld site (remember this is the theme for all their parks next year) after the official announcement tonight.

Did anyone else notice when they registered for the Sweepstakes that it said the trip would be from October 1-4, 2006?

Its too bad about the sweepstakes, but that only refers to a free family vacation as a prize. So there is still the rest of the promotion to get excited about, the golden fastpass, the private dinners with a princess, spending a night in the castle ect. Its seems as though those prizes will be open to any resort guests (since it doesn`t state otherwise, and none of these other prizes are listed in the description of the prize in the official rules of the sweepstakes). And who knows maybe there will be separate contests in each country.

I wanted to emphasize this too. It appears the sweepstakes is ONLY for a chance to win the Keys to the Kingdom. For everything else, you need to GO to WDW and it sounds like Cast Members will be giving out Dreams at random. So anyone in the world, can go to any of the Disney Parks across the world and have a chance of getting some Dreams Come True.

Yep, it is a vacation for 4 for those days. We already are booked for the end of Oct. and couldn't change no matter what, so I hope another DIS'er wins the trip. I will keep hoping we will win another contest while we are down there. According to another website, it looks like the other prizes will be awarded at random to guests while at the resorts. Think of it as a sprinkling of pixie dust super-sized.
