Major announcement for Disney Theme Parks June 7th?

I was browsing another Disney Fan site today and came across the following link:

It references a major announcement of some kind in NYC tomorrow. Anyone have any info on this announcement or know what it may relate to?

this has made my day!!! im so exited to know whats that about. will it be a new park that is so rumored??? will it be a new "global celebration"??? will it be free hotel rooms and tickets??? (we can always wish) . will it be a disney park here in Mexico??? ( is a rumor that is running here that is supposed to come true in about 10 years) well I think will have to wait until tomorrow. But, as I said, we can always wish.

Much chatter about Disney's announcement to enter the mobile phone service this week.

Targeted at 10- to 15-year-olds, Disney Mobile will be carried by Sprint Nextel -- a June launch is planned. Interesting that technology will enable parents to track whereabouts of their kids via GPS -- probably the last thing that these kids want on their cell phones.

How much longer before we find cell phones in our cereal boxes?

I'm pretty sure that's not the announcement, seeing as its already been known for some time, and has nothing to do with theme parks.

Shot in the dark ... but maybe a DisneyQuest type facility for NYC. I know Philly was supposed to get one a number of years ago. They even had a few blocks of the city ready for construction. The plan eventually fell through though (some sort of city or contracting issues?)

But if the rumor is true that they are getting rid of Disney Quest in DTD why would they put one in NYC?

When we were at WDW in October there was rumor of ANOTHER Disney Vacation Club to be built. Not just adding on more at SSR but a whole new one. Maybe that's it? But why announce in NYC?

I heard that they we going to limit the guests to only 3000 per park, from 6-9-06 to 6-18-06 to keep crowds low and, to have all rides be walk ons. That the day times temps will be in the lower 80's with 20% humiditiy ..Oh wait that was a dream....

I'll take a guess at it. I'm guessing a NYC based international imagineers headquarters where imagineering is done for all the Disney parks and resorts around the world.

Just a guess. Hopefully something bigger and better than my guess.
