Maji Pool Bar, if Not Staying at AKL?

We have an afternoon planned at AKL for lunch and sightseeing.
SO really liked the drink menu he saw online while he was perusing for Maji Pool Bar.

But I cannot tell from pictures online if it's accessible to non-resort guests? I know pool hopping isn't allowed, but I'm unclear if this bar is actually IN the restricted pool zone or not.
Hopefully someone can help!

I'm pretty sure the Maji bar is inside the pool area. You might need a magic band linked to a stay at AKL to open it.

The bars inside Jambo and Kidani might be able to make whatever drink you are eyeing up. We love the bar at Kidani!

Just got back from AKL. The bar is inside the pool area but we noticed that we didn't need our magic bands to open the gate. There were people sitting at the bar that were just visiting.

I'm sure they will but they also have a Savannah viewing spot next to the bar! That's the big draw haha

It was a gate with a latch on it. When the pool was closed it was locked but anybody could walk in and out through the gates when the pool was open. I don't know if a magic band may be enforced during busier pool times like in the summer.
