I was just curious which is the best way to pay the dues monthly or yearly?

There is no "best" way. It's simply a matter of personal preference. We chose the monthly auto debit from our checking account option. That works better for us than paying a very large lump sum every January.

I prefer monthly payments. As long as there isn't a fee to pay for "stretching" out the payments, I'll continue to do this. Why give DVC their money any sooner than I have to?

If you want to pay by credit card to get reward points or frequent flyer miles, you have to pay in a lump sum.

If you choose to pay in full in advance in January, you can pay with a credit card and get reward points. If you choose to "pay as you go" each month, you must pay by direct debit from a US bank account. If you sign up to pay monthly, at any time during the year you can pay all or part of the balance with a credit card. That can be helpful if you have a lot of other bills due in January but want to get credit card reward points for at least some part of the annual fees.

Just for ease, we have dues and monthly payment taken out by direct debit from our checking account. We never have to worry about being late and its easier to pay those dues in smaller chunks.

We also choose to have the payment deducted monthly from our checking account. I really like this option, but some prefer to pay once and be done with it.

Pay all at once. The official due date is Jan 15th

or

Pay monthly with an automatic debit from a US bank account on the 1st of 15th or each month

thank you My Dh and I were thinking about monthly payments because it would be better for us in the long run. But if possible later in the year we could pay it off that would be great too thank you for all your answers they were very helpful.
