Maintenance Fees w/ F&F Promo

Just a quick question...we are considering an add-on using the F&F promo. I know I can get '05 pts. and '06 pts. based on use year. Are the MF's on the '06 points prorated? For example, if I opted for a use year later in the year (Oct.) would I only pay fees based on the three months remaining in the year? We currently have a Feb. use year but it really isn't the best w/our current vacation patterns and I'm considering a change. Thanks!

Use year has nothing to do with maintenance fees at all. Maintenance fees are based on calendar year. You will pay prorated maintenance fees for 2006 based on your date of agreeing to purchase your add on (not the closing date) in general (there are some specific instances where it might be a later date, but that has nothing to do with use year).

Boy...I was really off-base with this one! So, if we purchased the add-on by Feb. 1st, we'd end up paying approx. 10-11 mos. of '06 MF's -- regardless of what our use year ended up being?

That is correct. Though depending on the use year chosen, you will get your next full allotment of points at a different time in the year and have different banking deadlines. Keep in mind, also, that you must keep your same use year as your existing contract unless you buy more than the 150 points necessary to have a new "base contract".
