Maingate Transportation

Hi everyone. My vacation is planned. We will be spending 3 weeks at Cypress Pointe Resort in July. No one in my family drives so I am looking into transportation to and from the parks. Cypress Pointe doesn't offer shuttles even for a fee.

I came across Maingate Transportation on a website when I was searching for info on Cypress Pointe Resort - Phase I. They have towncars, taxis and shuttles. The shuttle prices aren't bad, but I didn't call to see if the price on their website was from all hotels in the Disney area.

They have a shuttle listed for Disney as $12 per person roundtrip. They have SeaWorld as $12, Universal as $15 and other parks.

I also priced a roundtrip for 4 people with 6 suitcases as $126 roundtrip from MCO to Cypress.

Has anyone used Maingate and what was your experience?

Are you looking for transportation from the airport to Cypress, or from Cypress to the parks (or both)?

I plan on using Tiffany Towncar from the airport to the hotel. I used them last year and the service was great.

What I was looking into Maingate for was transportation from the hotel to the parks and back. No one in my family drives. I was looking at the difference in cost compared to cabs.

We plan on all the Disney parks, water parks, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Universal.

Okay, I thought you were asking about park transportation but when you added "I also priced a roundtrip for 4 people with 6 suitcases as $126 roundtrip from MCO to Cypress," I got confused.

I have no experience with Maingate but a quick check on Yelp doesn't sound good:

Since you're there 3 weeks, go ahead and try them to save some money. Maybe your experience will be different.

But if they leave you stranded, I'd quickly make a call to Mears (407) 423-5566, to confirm alternate travel. The sticky at the top: Transportation to US/IoA list $18 RT to US/IOA, so count on that as average rate.
