Maine to WDW next week

We are driving from Maine to CBR next Friday. Has anyone made the drive recently? I would like to know about traffic, construction and other hints! We will be going 495 to 290 to 84 to 81 to 17 and then pick up 95 in Fredericksburg.We are planning to stay overnight in Va and GA, then to WDW the 3rd day.

I am not a road traveling pro but I think that you may be adding some driving time by heading further west than you need to, unless you are fortunate to have people to visit or places to see on the way. Sounds like you'll be driving through Richmond, VA, on Saturday during the day. You shouldn't have any problems through Richmond either route you choose, I-95 or I-295. Only major construction is on the James River Bridge on I-95 and that's being done overnight. I-295 around Richmond/Petersburg is longer, but definitely less traffic. Still, on a Saturday, traffic through Richmond is fine.
