Main Street is no place for corporate branding

When I read the title, I thought: huh?

...and then I saw your pics! :thumbsup2

I know that just about everything in the parks is one huge advertisement, but there is something *icky* about changing the bakery to a Starbucks. I was hoping that the bakery would simply add the Starbucks drinks, which I like by the way, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

I saw video of the Starbucks that went in at Disney's California Adventure and aside from the typical Starbucks menu I didn't see that many similarities to a regular Starbucks store.I think that as long as they offer the same items they currently offer,or at least as many as possible along with the Starbucks menu I wouldn't have a big problem with it.If it were me I would have removed the Tomorrowland Terrace restaurant and built it there, that place is closed like 80% of the time anyways,it seems like a nice area to chill with some coffee and maybe they could have added some more food options to make it another CS restaurant that's open all the time.

Wanna see what the MSB looked like on October 1, 1971??

uh...right. that was the whole point of this thread.

Duh! Sorry, got the sarcasm in the first part - my head is spinning with all this SB hatred :rotfl2:

You know that's the company's slogan, right?

What is "Our ingredient list reads like a chemical word search for a science class" :confused3

Or, do you mean, do I know thats the company slogan in the MS Bakery photo from 1971 - umm, yes, I do. :confused3

Is it me???

Yeah, it could be you. Hard to tell. I was just trying to make a lighthearted comment. :)

Once again, I'll go on record to remind all those posters who complained about Nescafé (which is French for "nothing like coffee) that the majority believes Starbucks to be good coffee.

Well, nobody doesn't like Sara Lee.

I heard that Sara Lee is the Stouffer's of baked goods.

Of course, I like Stouffer's....

I hate Sara Lee, their ingredient list reads like a chemical word search for a science class - yuck!

Better living, through chemistry. 'member that slogan?

Starbuck's lover here.....I just don't want to see it on Main Street.

WDW does have good coffee already. They have carts run by Joffreys.com all over the park.

I wasn't that impressed by Joffreys - the stronger coffee has a bitter taste.

Did you try the drip, or the espresso? I haven't tried their drip coffee.:/
