DH gets his haircut at the Main Street Barber shop when we get to WDW. It has become our tradition. Can he get a shave too? We leave in 13 days & he said he is not shaving until he gets to WDW if he can get an old fashion shave.

Sorry, no shaves! I recently started shaving my head, they wont even do that.

Hello - Just wondering if you need to make an appt to get your haircut there? My ds and his cousin want to get their haircut there when we go at the end of June...
TIA... :goodvibes

No appointment necessary, just patience if you get there and there is a line. :)

We had our DD's hair cut there in March. We LOVED Penny! She was awesome.

We have alsways been lucky & never had to wait more than a few minutes.

Great! Thank you for the replies.. :thumbsup2

Have a good day!

We always have haircuts at the shoppe just inside the entrance. Our favorite was around ST Patrick's DAy when we had a cut for our grandson Patrick - about age 6 at the time. Really close buzz cut with "bowl" effect on top. Then they put green shammroks all around the sides using 3 fingerprints and then they put crew cut gell on top, also in green! All day long people wanted to get pictures of him - it was so cool! :cool1: THey can also do the same in black and create not-so-hidden Mickeys around the edge. It all washes out at night. :shamrock:

We had my 5 year old son's hair cut at the Main Street Barber Shop when we visited last month. Not only did they cut his hair expertly, but they spiked the front with blue gel and put in mickey glitter. People were also taking pictures of him all day (he loved the attention), but I disagree that the gel was easy to get out. We left some rather large blue stains on the hotel towels and a blue ring in the bathtub, and he still had traces several days later. That said, we will do it again next time -- a great way to get in the mood for some magic!

Here is a picture of my DS getting the gel put in his hair...

They use clear gel & a lot of Mickey Glitter on my DH. Some made it home in the suitcases & then on the laundry room floor. DD found a piece last week in a crack. lol

i hear they do some special stuff for baby's first haircut there. what is it that they do and about how much does it cost? my DS will be about 14 months when we go and i was thinking of getting his hair cut there.

We had my daughters first hair cut there and Michael did such a great job! He covered her with Mickey stickers to distract her. He put some pink in her hair when her hair was finished. I got some of her hair mixed with pixie dust to keep. She also got a certificate and Mickey ears that said "First haircut".

The regular haircuts are about 14 bucks and I think the "first haircut" deal was about 22.

I have been to WDW probably 100 times in my life and have never heard of the Barber shop?????
What is wrong with me??
Someone PLEASE give me the info!!

the barber shop is right at the top of main street as you enter MK its on the left hand side right by the city hall....its kind of hidden. :thumbsup2

Alrighty.. So I have a question. Will they French-braid my hair at the Barber Shop or some fun hairstyle with pixie dust and stuff? If so, do I have to buy a haircut there?

I've been hoping to get my hair done all cute there for a while.. I hope they do that!

My DD just had her first haircut there in May, it was $14 for the whole thing, with the haircut, the stickers, the souvenir ears, and the certificate. We did not do the gel, so perhaps that is why yours was $22?
