Can you use CS credits at MSB? We'd like to eat there for breakfast, but I don't know what we'd be able to get. What would my kids (who will have child CS credits) be able to order? Me and DH?

Oh! It was a truely lovely place! We enjoyed eating there.
I suggest Crystal Palace...My kids enjoyed it.
:flower3:

We have never used a CS credit at MSB but I know it can be done. For us we find MSB the best use of a snack credit for breakfast. The 4 of use each pick some ginourmous, yummy pastry (cinnamon rolls, apple turnovers, crumb cake..etc) and then we split them each 4 ways. We pay OOP for a juice or coffee. For us it is one of our favorite breakfasts. :) They do have some healthy choices that you can use your snack credit for (like yogurt parfait or fresh fruit).
If you wanted to use your CS credit for breakfast I believe they have breakfast sandwiches. Hopefully someone will come along and explain the specifics. :)

I am also curious to know what a child can get with a kids CS there. Also, do kids breakfasts come with 2 juices as well or is it just their meal and one beverage? I am trying to figure a way to use the kids CS but not being a typical breakfast person, be prepared for many ignorant questions. :rotfl:

We spent about $50 a day at MSB last time (mostly on cinnimon buns or another pastry and a milk for everyone for breakfast and a park-closing snack) but if we do the DDP this time, we will only have 1 snack credit for each person, each day. I was going to budget extra snacks in, but realized that we will have extra CS credits when we leave if we don't do something with them. MSB just sounds more appealing than a CS breakfast at AS Movies.

Hoping someone else will have more specifics on what each person can get ...

Also, are there are any similar shops in the ther parks?

This is one place that does not differentiate between kids CS and adults CS. At least, it never did for us.

For a CS, we have gotten a ham & cheese croissant, pastry and two drinks. I think it is a good deal! Often, I will eat the sandwich, kids will eat the pastry, we share a drink and have one for later....and that is only using one CS!!!

As my title states, we LOVE to go to Main Street bakery for breakfast.

Also, their sandwiches are very good and the ICE CREAM sandwich (which is a snack credit!!) was YUMMO and HUGE!!!

:woohoo:

So did you have to pay for the extra drink?

So, for breakfast you can get 2 pastry type things and 2 drinks???? For lunch we could get a sandwich, pastry/dessert, and 1 drink. If we wanted chips that would take the place of the pastry/dessert. I don't see why for breakfast you can get 4 items but for lunch only 3??? We've only done lunch and single snacks, never breakfast.

I verified with DH that I was right about the TWO drinks. It especially sticks out for me, because I thought it was a lot of fluid! :) We think it is because breakfast items are generally less expensive. For example, to compare:

Breakfast: a ham and cheese croissant is your entree (approx $5-6). For lunch an entree is a burger WITH fries and probably runs $8-9.

So did you have to pay for the extra drink?

No, they told us to grab TWO drinks for using CS.

Glad someone could answer. That sounds like an awesome deal! I know where we are spending our CS credits :thumbsup2 This will also mean alot less OOP for snacks, since I was planning on buying pasteries and drinks for everyone on our 3-4 MK days. I think I may eat a sandwhich and juice for breakfast and save the pastry and milk (will have small cooler) for a snack.

I *think* the DDP entitles you to a juice and milk for breakfast, at both a CS or TS. I could be wrong, but I thought I read that under the list of entitlements for breakfast.

Edited to add: just checked and it lists both a juice and a non-alcoholic beverage for breakfast. You get two drinks instead of a dessert. I don't know where the sandwhich AND a pastry comes in, unless they count them both as one entree (if you went to a reg CS you would get more then one item in your entree, so maybe that's why.) Whatever the reasoning, I hope they do it while we are there.

When we were there in Sept., they said you could get 1 hot "pastry", one "cold" pastry and two drinks. Hope it is the same in June as this fed all 4 of us!

CS=counter service (meal/restaurant)

MSB has the BEST EVER Cinnamon Rolls. They are absolutely the most devine things I have ever eaten in my life. Unfortuantely, since having GBS in September, I am no longer able to eat them. DH and I were there in December 2009 and I had 2 small bites and did okay. It was enough to give me the taste but not enough to make me sick. They have other great looking items too, but we have only ever gotten the CR's! You have to try them.

Totally agree! I still remember my first one. It was a little while before closing after evening EMH and I stood behind a lady who took the last one ! Turned out she did me a favor. The CM went and pulled a hot tray out and said "Pick one" I did and I've never looked back.:rotfl2:

Its the same amount of items...for lunch you get...one entree, one side, one dessert and one drink.

For breakfast, you get two drinks (because there is no dessert...one of those drinks is replacing dessert), one hot item, and one cold item.

So, in total its the same number of items.

I see that you mentioned that you could get chips in place of a dessert...we have always gotten either chips or fries or veggies (depending on what was offered) with our sandwiches as well as a dessert and a drink.

We have always gotten a large fountain drink (we ordered large) but friends of ours always got mediums...and our were always covered by the DDP.

The DDP is so confusing and it doesn't always seem to be consistent!!!
