Planning on using a CS credit at Main Street Bakery for Breakfast, all Ears says "Quick Service Plan Breakfast Meal: Choice of non-alcoholic beverage
One whole Fruit, 1 Pastry/Bagel "

I assume that the Egg, Ham, and Cheese Croissant is not included.

Is the fruit a piece of fruit of can it be a fruit cup?

How about beverages, can I get a smoothie or ice coffee?

And at casey's I say an old post talking about cotton candy and cracker jacks being included for dessert. Are they still included?

Thanks

shameless bump for the morning crowd...hoping someone could answer this. Pics would also be great :)...I did a search but couldnt find the answer.

I went Aug 2010 & had 1 latte, 1 egg, cheese & ham croissant & a cherry danish. That was when you got 2 drinks, I think it's only 1 now so it's probably changed. Not much help to you really.

This isn't the most recent experience (it's been a few trips since we've had the DDP), but I figured I'd post what I know.

The DDP brochure says CS breakfast includes one entree and one beverage - last time we used the DDP for breakfast at MSB they considered the croissant breakfast sandwich or the yogurt parfait as an "entree". Not sure about the fruit - I thought from some things I've read that you don't get a side at breakfast anymore (last time we could get any pastry in the case as a "side", which was a great deal). I could be wrong here.

Last time we used DDP at Casey's we did get cracker jacks as dessert, I think the other option was a brownie. I don't remember if there was cotton candy.

Thanks guys. if I dont get any more recent experiences I'll just check when I go and post an update.

Sorry, I don't have any help for you, but a possible reason for why you aren't seeing much in response is that breakfast anywhere just isn't a good value for a QS credit. When you consider that you're paying $35 for the day, that means you should be spending around $15 per meal. You can't spend that much at breakfast. Most people use snack credits at Main St Bakery for breakfast items (however, the croissant would not be available for a snack credit).

For a CS credit, you should be able to get the breakfast sandwich (entree) plus one beverage (milk, orange juice, soda, etc). I'm not sure about getting an iced coffee as a beverage -- I would assume not, but it doesn't hurt to ask when you're there! :)

I agree that breakfast is not a value on the Dining plan and we really dont plan on using it for breakfast, except possible here.

We would either get
Cinn roll $3.99 or breakfast sandwich $5.99
If the fruit is included fruit (not sure of price but I assume at least $2)
Drink Strawberry Smoothie $4.19 or Frozen Latte $4.19

Which would run is $10-$12...not getting the value but we would use at least 1 childs CS credit here so def value there.

The problem is if we used snacks credits that would be 3 snacks for 1 meal and now you only get 1 snack a day. I wont want to blow that many snacks...but I do want a frozen latte and cinn roll...And I really have a feeling we will have CS meals remaining as we are going to be doing 3 or 4 TS out of pocket.

I think PP is right. Most people don't use a CS for breakfast, especially if paying for it. We did on our trip in Oct. but even at WPE it wasn't the best use of our credits. However, we got it for free and we had plenty of CS to use up.

Please do post about your experience after you get back. I'm sure others will find it useful :goodvibes

Last August (2011) we used snack credits for breakfast at Mainstreet bakery...the cinamon roll was huge and considered a snack.

Back from our trip and wanted to update everyone...

I was able to use a CS meal at Main Street Bakery

You could do breakfast sandwich and drink or cinn. roll/pastry fruit and drink.

I did Ice Coffee, cinn. roll and fruit bowl. I think it came to about $11 or $12 so not a totally great value on the plan but it was near the end of the week for us and I was technically using a kids credit for this (so good value) and I wanted all three items and didnt want to "waste" snacks.

Also at Casey's cracker Jacks and Cotton Candy are desserts. However they were out of cotton candy when we were that at about 3.

Another thing about Casey's we went in there a little after the parade started and only a few people in line but once parade finished the line was out the door. Also we were able to snag a seat outside near main street and since the "road" is right there to cross main street they dont let anyone stand there for the parade so we had a very good view.

And there are no kids meals so kids get adult meal. Well DS wanted a soda and I didnt think to tell them put it in a kids cup. They gave him the big 32 oz cup for a 4 year old...he barely drank any. Next time I would just share with him and get a juice box or milk and throw it in the cooler for later.

Thank you for posting a follow up Diegosmom. When we go back, I was wondering how to go about snacking in the morning.

I doubt we'll use a meal credit as we'll be doing deluxe but using up snack credits there sounds a great way to make a quick and tasty breakfast.

Thanks!

The cinn. roll was great. DH and I shared it and DS ate the fruit later. DS would have had the cinn. roll too but he feel asleep in the stroller while I was inside...yes at 9:15 in the morning after having just got up...Poor kid was coming down with something the entire week we were there...it never really Hit but he was dragging all week (and he never is like that)...

Also at 9:15 not really that many people in Main Street Bakery...I think everyone was rushing off for rides. My plan was to just buy the stuff, rush off to rides and eat it a little later but since DS was asleep hubby and I enjoyed it on main street with a view of the castle.

Thanks for posting your experience. I'm sure your info will help others. :goodvibes

I was also wondering about the breakfast sandwich so thanks for sharing!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for reporting back. We love going for breakfast regardless of the value, but obviously less value now, but will still go.
