Anyone stayed there? I'm trying to help my best friends grandma out. She has decided to take 2 daughters, 1 granddaughter & 2 great grandchildren to WDW in the end of May, and they asked me for advice  ! So I'm looking at this hotel, it's not a bad pricze for a bi-level suite, and it has a kitchen which they could use to save on food costs. It does have a Disney Shuttle, not sure how reliable, just checking to make sure it's not a complete dive..

TIA if anyone has stayed her or is familiar, I didn't find this one on the best/worst list..

DD and I stayed here in a studio suite in Oct. 2003. We liked almost everything about the place. I think it used to be Suites at Lake Cecile or something. It had just been re-done so everything was clean, we loved having our own kitchen, and the bathroom area was quite large (Disney moderates should pay attention here!). Bed was comfortable, we didn't feel unsafe at any point, housekeeping reliable. It is fairly far down 192 (east of WDW, maybe a 10 min drive once you get on 192), and when we were there the sign wasn't very noticable and it was 1:30a.m. when we got there- I had a bit of trouble finding it (at the time I located it daily by remembering it was just past "Xanadu" which itself was closed). We didn't go swimming, never saw the pool so can't help there. Parking seems ample enough, but sometimes at night we'd have to walk a distance from the car to our buiding (not like at POFQ, though). The only real drawback was the continental b'fast...not enough food or seating area for the # of people, but as I said they'd just opened so I suspect this is something the have worked out by now. We decided it was quicker to buy bagels and drinkable yogurt and eat on the way to WDW! Only surprise was the "resort fee"; can't remember how much per day ($3), we'd booked thru hotelkingdom so weren't expecting it. We would definitely stay here again.

Thanks LeeBee!!
I did read about the resort fee, it was actually 4.95 per night on Expedia & 5.95 per night on Hotel Kingdom, thought it was odd, but I remember reading it was something about covering certain costs, like the "movies" they had available at guest services?
Thanks for the infor, I will pass it along! :wizard:
