Does anyon have a map showing the Main St. Bypass? I am having trouble conceptualizing... would it be behind the Main St shops on the Bakery (may it RIP) side? That is all I can imagine...

Thanks!

That is the side we've walked along before. A gate opens right behind The Plaza and you're spit out onto Main Street right after the shops end/in between the shops and Town Square Theatre.

I'm glad they're sprucing up the walkway back there because it wasn't very magical in the past!

they can also send you out the other side too. Between Casey's and CP. Pops you out at fire station. We did that on 4th of July. On NYE we were shooed out in tomorrowland where Buzz meets and went behind everything to come out next to Tony's

Is there anything you do not have a map of?

WE, US, run of the mill everyday guests, NOT CM's, are ALLOWED to walk back there?????????
For real??????
I thought we weren't allowed anywhere near reality while in the park.
We're really allowed to walk there????????

Only when traffic demands it (i.e. after Wishes when everyone is heading out) they will open up these routes. However, they are currently in the process of theming these bypasses to make them fit in with Main Street so that'll be nice.

Wow!

I work in the parks as a contractor and never imagined they take guests through the backstage spot I park at (the purple line map where it comes out between Buzz and Carousel of Progress). It can be pretty rough back there (gear, construction items, vending carts, etc).

Once you have been caught up in that crush of humanity after Wishes on a busy park evening, you won't CARE if the area is themed or not.

MO7 and the management bus area by Backstage Bistro. I remember many lunches there when I was driving the employee shuttle. It can be a crazy area. I'm glad to see it being themed, before, it was just something sooo not "good show".

Thanks for the info!! Silly me, I thought this bypass was new. I guess since I always visit at off-peak times I have never been ushered through the "backstage." Glad to hear they are theming it now!

I will often make a new map when something becomes a more popular "talked-about" location.

The backstage walkways have become a hotter issue in around the last 6 months, so I had these at the ready.

;)

Sorry to interject but is the bakery gone?!

Any time we have been sent in the back walkway, I look down at the ground. I just don't want to see it. Kind of like putting your fingers in your ears and saying lalala when you don't want to hear something. Very mature on my part. :rotfl:

Then I am so glad I asked!!!

Yes.. It is now a Starbucks. So bittersweet!!!!! I admit to being very happy t have sbux coffee, but really really miss the Bakery. Especially the cinnamon rolls. Gastons are not the same.

On my last trip we watched Wishes from the Hub and left in that crush. It was miserable and took about 30 minutes just to get to the front of the park. There was actually a WDW photographer trying to get a picture of a couple with the castle in the background shouting for everyone to stand back and let him get his picture, as if the thousands of people who would have had to cooperate could hear him.

The trip previous to that we attended the desert party, watched every second of Wishes from there, went immediately through the Noodle Station Route in Robo's picture, easily got on our bus and back to CBR and were at our resort in 15 minutes.

We usually travel to WDW in lower crowd times, so that exit has never been open. But we ended up there the last night of our trip in mid-December (a Saturday night) and it really was a scary experience trying to get out of the park. It was awesome when we got to that gate and the whole world opened up around us and we could breathe again.

Your dessert party exit sounds amazing! :thumbsup2

Hey..... wonder if they could slap FP on using that gate......
