Mailing to your DVC resort

For some reason I can't do a search on this! Read awhile back when addressing a box to be mailed to your home resort, you put on your family name and arrival date. Anything else i should know? Want it to arrive to the Wilderness Lodge the 24th so am sending it fedex this afternoon. thanks!

I would include my reservation number.

however I have a very common last name - Jackson - there are generally several Jackson.

Thanks! I knew there was something else I should put on the box. I will include the reservation number too when I send it out.

We mailed a package our to BCV about 5 days before we arrived. I put on the outside of the box in several place " Hold for guest... Arriving on 12/7/04" When we checked in, the box was waiting for us. No problems at all!

Is there any kind of a charge for mailing yourself a package like this? I stayed in a Hilton once and mailed presentation materials, and I got socked with a HUGE charge on my bill!

No Disney4me4ever there is no charge for this from Disney

The only thing they will charge you for is if you want to ship boxes out at the end of your stay (obvioulsy)... boxes coming in are just held for your arrival...

The bill you got socked with was probably from the contractor that sets up conventions - Same thing happened to me at the dolphin - the stuff didn't go to bell services, it went to the convention service and the bill was huge.
