For the past week, I have been getting spam email from Mailer Damon. It appears to be from China or japan as it has Oriental characters attached to it. Can anyone tell me how to stop this from coming into my email? I do send them to spam when they come in, but they just keep on coming. I'd say on average, I'm getting about 15-20/day.

thanks

1. Forward a copy to your email provider. They may be able to block them.

2. Set up a filter in your email program to block them or redirect them to a trash folder.

3. Google "mailer daemon" (note spelling) for more info.

Good luck cleaning up!

Generally, MAILER-DAEMON emails are bounce messages. Either one of two things is happening:

  1. An email that you have tried to send has bounced. Depending on how your email is set up, your machine could be trying to resend the bad email, resulting in additional 'mailer-daemon' emails.
  2. Somebody has a virus/worm that has mined your address and they are spamming you. This is somewhat less likely. Make sure that your antivirus is up to date and you should be in no danger.
