We're going on the Dream soon, and I was wondering if there is a place at Orlando International Airport to mail the extra stuff we buy home, rather than buying another piece of luggage and paying extra baggage fees? I'm looking for something like UPS, FedEx, etc who would have a box and packing materials available. We'll be using DCL transfers so there's no chance to stop on the way to the airport.

I looked up drop off locations for FedEx. I found a drop off at the Port!!!! I have a question into Disney if they have materials on board for shipping and if they will transfer them from the room directly to the drop off rather than having to claim them from the luggage area and then drop them off. I will let you know what I find.

It is too bad you don't have a car because there is a 24 hour US post office about 2 minute drive from the airport.

I responded to your other post in the other thread....which location are you looking at as I just searched FedEx locations and the one in the port area is not near the DCL terminal at all. I seriously doubt DCL personnel will deliver a FedEx box for you at that location or have supplies for you to use.

DCL does not have any type of package delivery system to any outside shipping location unless it is a piece of merchandise purchased onboard that normally gets shipped (and then it is usually from a different location) like certain pieces of artwork.

Please do post what they say when they respond. If they say yes then you will be first I have ever heard of having them do that for. In 22 DCL cruises and over 10 years on this cruise board I have never heard of DCL shipping packages (especially from your room) unless it was the circumstance as I mentioned above.

They will ship purchases from Castaway Cay back to the ship for you, though.

This is what we found to be true about a year ago when we last sailed. At MCO, there is a tiny, unmanned area that has a drop box for USPS, FedEx, and UPS. The FedEx and UPS were the big mailbox looking drop-boxes. There were large mailing envelopes available for use, but no boxes. (A box could not have fit into the drop-boxes anyway.) We used an envelope to ship home liquids that we could not take through security and it worked out perfectly for that use.

Hopefully, someone can confirm whether this is still the situation at MCO.

Good luck!
