I'm planning my Disney World honeymoon for next year. I want my maiden name to be on my KTTW card. Should I make my plans with my new married name although it won't be legally changed yet?

You really dont want a bunch of legal things out there before you've actually changed your name - think airline tickets, cruise tickets etc. I did ask for mrs Jennings on my room Key for fun but nowhere else. I've heard you could have trouble, I mean it's possible and I've heard stories. But I did just that and it was kinda fun!

I'm confused. You want your maiden name on your kttw card or your married name? Your maiden name shouldn't be a problem since you won't have legally changed it yet.

If you mean married name, you can have your married name on your kttw card as long as you are not the primary ressie holder. If the ressie is under your future husband's name, then he can list you with your married name. Check in will look only at his id and not yours.

I would think the same name that's on your ID should be on your KTTW card/reservation, just in case you need a new key and have to show ID. It's always best to make any reservation under the same name as what's on your government issued ID.

We honeymooned in Disney after our DFTW, 2 day at the Grand, a 4 night cruise on the Dream, and 7 nights at AKL. I booked all three with my maiden name, especially the cruise. My hubby was the lead on all three reservations. Even on the cruise they asked me if I wanted to have my married name on my KTTW card.

When I asked about what to do if I lost my card, the CM said that having stayed at WDW 27 times previously, they could surely match my ID to my account and since my reservations noted my honeymoon it wouldn't be a problem.

Thank you all!

I just wasn't sure how official they were going to be. I think I'll just make all the reservations under my maiden name and get them to make my kttw card with my married name. :)

At check-in, you can change/edit any guest name printed on the KTTW card.
. . . maiden
. . . married
. . . anything other name
. . . spelling corrections

Does that go for after check-in as well? My DFTW is on day 2 of my 10 day stay, and it would be fun to have my married name on my KTTW.
