Maid service at Cypress Pointe?

I know that maid service is an additional cost at Cypress Pointe. Can anyone tell me if you are required to clean your room prior to checkout? If yes, how much cleaning did you do? Did you have to leave everything the way it was when you checked in?

We ran the diswasher and made sure the trash was taken out. We put the used towels and wascloths in the laundry basket (we guessed they were going to wash them with some industrial stuff) basically we tried to leave it the way we found it.

We have stayed there several times and never "cleaned" our unit. If I remember correctly, you have to run the DW, take out the trash, and throw dirty linen in the tub. We frequently stay in beach houses, condos, etc, so somtimes I get the rules confused. Anyway, Cypress Pointe is very similar to these types of rentals. We love Cypress Pointe. You will have a great trip!!

I think we washed the dishes and took out the garbage. That's it.
They have to clean it and change the sheets and make the beds for the next guests anyway.

They ask you to run the dishwasher and strip the linens from the bed before leaving.

You have to take out your own trash while you are there...and run the dish washer if you need to use the dishes again.

I have never stripped the beds. I don't recall being asked to do that or take out the trash on the last day. YIkes! I do turn on the dishwasher and pile the towels in one place just to be nice to housekeeping. (Didn't know I was supposed to.)

I have never been charged extra for not stripping the beds or taking out the trash.

We really like Cypress Point and reccommend it to anyone that asks.
