We are going to Niagara Falls this weekend and I was wondering if one side had better views than the other?

Both sides of the MoM take virtually the same route...past the US and Bridal Veil Falls and then a loop at the Horseshoe Falls. On the Canadian side you can get a package pass with entry into "Journey Behind The Falls" pretty cool if you have never seen it, and the Butterfly Conservatory.

BTW you will get real wet on the MoM & JBtF. You get ponchos to take with you.

most definitely!!!
Plus, as another poster mentioned you can package up a number of Ontario park attractions for a low cost. They are REALLY worth seeing too.
We go to Niagara every year and always find something we've never seen before.
A few really great attractions:
Aviary
Butterfly Conservatory
Behind the Falls
Maid of the Mist
Walking beside the rapids is neat too - it really gives you a sense of the power behind the water
Dufferin Islands - perfect place for a picnic!

Have a great time!

Any budget suggestions on where to stay on the Canadian side? Do we need to be closer to Clifton Hill or farther up Lundy Lane is okay? Thanks......

We stayed at Travelodge right on Clifton Hill just under a month ago! It was a pretty nice place, had a small breakfast, and had package deals for the area too!!

We stayed at a really clean family run place called Inn by the Falls.
Price was resonable, place was clean , had a pool and was walking distance to everything.
PM me if you want the number.

Thanks everyone.

The Travelodge was pricey and a search for "Inn at the Falls" led me to a website that said they closed and built a brand new Country Inn and Suites which looks very nice.

Any opinions on location? I've narrowed it down to the Country Inn on Victoria, the Best Western about 1.5 mi away, the Hampton at the Falls Ave complex or the Hampton by the whirlpool bridge.

Thanks again

We stayed at Doubletree. Although it was a very nice hotel and the beds were fabulous, the walk to the falls was too much for our kids. It isn't like Disney where you walk for a few minutes and stop and do something. The walk was boring and took us 20 min.
I wish we had stayed further away, paid less for a hotel room, and paid to park at the falls.
BTW, the flying saucer diner had a really good breakfast. They have specials posted for 2.99 and the meal was huge.
