Of course now that it's my turn to cruise the search won't work!
What are these magnetic signs people have on their cabin doors and where do you get them?
Also what are the other little extras people are bringing on board these days?
Thanks for any info.

Most people just make up their own magnetic door signs and print them off their computer. The magnetic paper is quite easy to print, it's just like printing on photo paper. I used Print Shop 10 to make my designs with. Let your imagination run wild, and have fun with it. The magnetic paper can be found at just about any department store or office supply store.

Hi All and especially VM  '
Since the search is not working I will respond LOL :earboy2: You can find sites for Disney clipart on the Technical support board listed under clipart guidelines. You use the magnets to express yourself and family and to identify your room from all the others :earseek: . You can use MS Word or Like VM I use printshop 20.. You can get the Mickey Heads from home depot in the paint dept and scan them in you computer.. I could send you some with a e-mail address. Have fun and be creative.. James :firefight

Someone on our cruise (MOMSGOOFY) had a great idea. She made up the signs, laminated them, and just used a couple of small strips of magnetic tape on the back. I had the magnetic sheets and those worked well. Just be sure and put to print on Best and not regular-a couple of small parts on ours turned out a little fuzzy. :tilt:

Not only did I do the mickey heads and magnetic signs, I purchased a piece of foam from Micheals and then stapled a 8.5X11 sheet protecter on it.I then put all kind of stickers and paraphenalia around the sheet protecter. All you need to do then is print your sign on good paper and then change the foam sign out as your mood or whim sees fit.. Of course the back is coved with magnetic tape from a roll (craft store). The look is awesome and I don't have to spend anymore on magnetic paper.. JMHO James

Like Verandahman said, it's easy to make the magnetic signs. I actually had a computer glitch before our cruise last week...we were on the Turkey Gang Cruise/Disney Magic 11/20 - 11/27...so I ended up making the door signs differently and it worked well.

I use Microsoft Publisher to make the door signs and tshirts. I used cardstock to print the signs and then I laminated the cardstock...use clear contact paper...then affixed magnetic tape on the four corners of the back. It worked great! I made one for our door and then several signs for the fellow DISboard Turkey Gang that were cruising with us.

We ran out of printer ink a week before we left and couldn't print our signs and pictures! (and no one is stocking the ink around here!) So, DH made the pictures and had them printed on photo paper at CVS. He used sticky stuff (looks like gum, but not as sticky or gross) to put them up on the door and in the room. He printed a huge poster of the castle that he had taken, some pictures from Wishes and of course a picture of our home (The Contemporary). We were in room 7500, apparently right outside the door to the crew and captain's quarters. We had many compliments and the captain even stopped by to say how much he liked the photos! Jason looked for him at the end of the cruise to give him the pictures, but could not find him.
