Magnet swaps for DCL

Hey guys....I know that there are magnet swaps out there and Haven't had much luck finding them. Does anyone know how I can find one to join....is it here in the creative community boards, or on the DCL boards? I've had no luck with either one

I have never heard on a magnet swap for DCL most people make their own or get them from the DISign boards. They are magnetic paper or paper with magnets attached. Maybe there is a swap for the magnets but I haven't seen one. For our past 2 crusies I made our own or got them from the designers. There are however the fish extender swap. But that is done between the group on the boat.

Maybe thats what you are looking for. It not a swap though, they just share what they make. Most of them will personalize them for you.

Thanks for posting guys....I did specifically see a thread discussing a magnet swap yesterday...but couldn't find the original thread. Guess I'll just make my own...
it sounded fun though to get them in the mail and be surprised at what you get...

I made my own too. Walmart has the magnetic printer paper. I did a big one for each day saying where we were, like Atlantis, or a pic of Castaway Cay with the dates. And then small ones for whatever the special of the day was, like formal night with Belle and the Beast dancing, or Pirates in the Caribbean Party.

I also had one that was on the door that said my DIS name and the cast of characters in our cabin.

was the magnetic paper expensive? I saw someone complaining about the cost of it on the thread someone posted the link to earlier

And another thing....say a DISigner posts a DISign for a magnet on a thread...how do I get that DISign to print out? How do I save it in a format which it can then be printed out? I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but I've never made tee-shirts or anything before

You can get magnetic paper online from $11 for 5 pages (from Amazon). It's not terribly expensive. Another alternative is just to buy the magnetic sheets that are sticky on one side that you can trim to the size you want. Then you can print your logo or sign and stick it down on the magnet. Try fridgedoor.com for lots of sizes (2 pack for $5.95 for 8X10).

We are going in December for a 4 night and I want to make some special signs for my family. It would be fun to do a swap of various magnets, let me know what you find. We are planning to do the fish extenders once the cruise gets closer. Have you seen those before?
