Magnet for being Silver/Gold Castaway Club Member??

I've seen some different pictures online of people receiving a DCL white car magnet that says "silver" or "gold" on it. Is everyone supposed to get one of those or do you have to request it?

I went on my first cruise in February '17 and I just turned gold after my October '19 cruise. I didn't get anything for being either member yet, except for the stuff on board like lanyards and in room gifts.

We got our Silver magnet after finishing our 5th cruise, but I'm not sure how long it took. I think it was a few months.

I requested our Gold magnet a few months after the sailing. I sent an email and I received it a couple weeks later.

I never received a magnet as a silver or gold, just became gold last Jan. We have received the art pics after each recent cruise though, 4 so far. We did our first cruise in 2001, we got a Mickey trading pin then. From reading on here it seems some people either receive the magnets or the art pics or nothing at all. I'd call or email and ask.

I requested and still never got anything. And I'm platinum. BFF, who is also platinum, only got a Gold magnet. I finally gave up and ordered close copies from ETSY.

We got the silver magnet a few weeks after our first cruise in August 2018 (a black DCL logo on a silver background). We took family on their first cruise in April of this year and they all got magnets afterward as well.

That's odd and disappointing. We got our silver magnet right after our first cruise. Gold right after our 5th. We actually got 2 as we had 2 staterooms. Then right after they changed the design, we got 2 of the new ones after #7. I've hear of people having good luck emailing DCL guest services if they don't get one.

We received our Platinum magnet after we completed our first cruise as a platinum castaway member. I expected it after our 10th cruise was completed, but it came after the 11th.
And it is completely random who gets it and who doesn't. They don't send it to everyone.

From what I've heard you get the magnet OR you get a print. That's also been consistent with what we have found since the one year we didn't get a print, we received a magnet. We were also hoping for a Gold magnet this year but only received a print (which is fine since we collect those and it was a missing one!).

Yes, according to the letter (posted above) that I received, you receive the art print after all cruises. Except if the cruise was a "milestone" cruise (#1, #5, or #10). For those you get the Silver, Gold, or Platinum magnet instead.

Same here. While we received our silver magnet about 6 weeks after our first cruise, we didn't receive our gold magnet so after about 4 months I emailed them and received it in less than 2 weeks.

Are these only for American/Canadian cruisers. We are in the UK and not had anything, our last cruise was the 2018 WBTA and we will be gold after our 2020 EBTA.

we've never received art or a magnet. (we just turned gold over the summer)
in fact, we've never received any mail EVER from the castaway club - and we've been members since 2002.
and yes, we're not in america either.
It's not as if DCL doesn't know how to send overseas mail, they send the precruise booklet without a problem.
Just the castaway club apparently needs a tutorial.

Wish it was that simple. We did not receive our Gold on our 'milestone' 5th cruise, instead we received a print.

We just got the artist card and Gold Castaway magnet from our Dream cruise in January, it was our 5th sailing. I love the magnet, it's really nice compared to the generic silver one that's been on our fridge forever.
