This will be our first experience with MagicBands so a few questions. I see that you can link previous non-expired Park Hopper passes through the MyDisneyExperience section of the website ... however I also ordered custom MagicBands through the Disney Store. Questions I have then are ...
  1. From what I can see, a person can link multiple MagicBands to your own account ... correct?
  2. Can you have more than one MagicBand active at the same time ...
  3. And in the opposite vein, if you still have unused unexpired days left on your MagicBand, can you deactivate that band to prevent it from being used by someone else and then re-activate it later ...
Thanks for any insight you can provide to this MagicBand newbie ... :duck:

1) Yes, there isn't a limit as far as I know to how many Magic Bands can be linked to your MDE

2) Your MagicBands are (in theory) interchangeable so you can use whichever one you like on whichever day so you can match your band to your outfit everyday for example

3) You can't reactive/deactivate Magicbands but no one else can use them to enter the parks because of the finger scan at the park entrance. You can however swap them between people for FP use. No information is actually stored on the Magicband itself, it's just a way to link you to MDE.

if you still have unused unexpired days left on your MagicBand

There is nothing ON the band. Everything is on MDE, and the MBs merely access that info.

To enter a park with a MB you still need your fingerscan (or ID if you refuse the scan, per their terms&conditions), so it can't be used by just anyone.

I currently have 8 MBs connected to my profile on MDE. DS and DH have multiple as well. We haven't had any problems. Some people with many have problems and CMs like to tell them to deactivate MBs. I've noticed that *any* fiddling with the account can jostle the glitches and change things; this seems to be something that CMs just like to say. Since any changes seem to help, it helps. :)

I have all my MBs in my Owner's Locker and I choose MB based on outfit that day.

Thanks all ... didn't make the connection re: the fingerprint scan ... LOL Bumbershoot - I can see DW now collecting them to match her outfits also ...

You can't reactive/deactivate Magicbands

Actually, you can. Go to your MDE account, click on Magic Bands and Cards. You can deactivate it if you don't use it anymore, or you can indicate that it's lost.
