Magicbands - special pre-orders

Wonder if anyone had any insight - I've been watching the webpage and MDE app checking to see if any of the preorders are available - I will find one I want, go to check out and it will say that it is unavailable but the picture is still there like it is. I will check several times a day and the magicbands will change and new ones will be there that weren't before and again go to check out and its not available - anyone know have any luck with ordering them?

Try doing it 5+ times a day for two months, and have 3 or 4 options you are willing to do. That's what I had to do to get mine.

There are MANY posts about this on the boards. It is a bad system, it is very frustrating, and there is no way to make it any easier. Some have reported switching to an incognito browser helped them, but I think that might have just been luck/timing, since I tried both kinds of browsers and never noticed any difference.

I had to keep trying a few times per day and be flexible about the options I wanted. Eventually, I got the limited edition Mickey Halloween one for DH but in order to get that I had to select one that wasn't in the list of ones I wanted for myself (the villians one). In the end, I actually liked the one I got but if you keep trying to hold out for just that particular one, you may be out of luck especially if you're trying for multiple ones as you can't just order one and do the others later. DH was really pleased with his so I was happy about what we finally got.

It is so awful. A friend and I have been trying for our families for a couple weeks. It's hard enough to get an "available" band for each person, but then if you do and go to check out, it says they aren't available. What's really messed up is that the same bands are there day after day -- so it's clear they must have some?? Why not just give you a credit/coupon for the disney store that is only valid on magic bands.

It really is luck of the draw for when they stock. I was able to pick up a couple a few minutes ago, Figment for my AP and Minnie F&W for my upcoming BC stay. Didn’t for next year at the Poly because my partner’s choices aren’t listed. I’ve tried several times a day for a while.
