magicbands and early ticket pickup: do we all need to be present?

Does everyone in my party need to be present when I go to guest relations to do an early ticket pickup? and switch mine and my husband's band to AP? or would I just need his ID?
I would like to get a TIW card or at least use the AP discount for our first dining reservations.

Anyone 18 years and older and dealing with an AP needs to be present and have a legal photo ID.
