Magicband transfer question

We are staying at the PoP and have our magicbands Disney sent us. My son ordered one from the Disney store. Can we just get the info on the magicband Disney sent transferred to the new one? Is this done at the Pop when we Check-in?

All you have to do is link the bought magicband to your son's My Disney experience profile. Here is nothing stored on the magicbands except a unique number that acts as a key to your My Disney Experience which is where all your information is actually stored.
