MagicBand+ preorder before cruise

I would call. We booked the Wish next year in Sept/Oct and it let me order DB+ right away.

I think it's because it's the Treasure, I'm 99% sure I could order them for the Wish but I don't think the system sees the Treasure as an option yet.

Do the magicbands obtained through the DCL site work like they do in Disney World (where they are assigned to one person and not transferable) or like Disneyland (where you can link/unlink tickets, etc and can reassign to someone else)? I assume it's the former but just want to verify from someone who's experienced them. Thanks.

I have a reservation on the Magic next year, and it wasn’t showing my reservation for the DB+ either. I emailed support. They said something about possible multiple emails (same email??) when looking into cruises before ?? Anyways, they consolidated accounts, and then the reservation showed up.

It may have to do with it being the treasure. They probably haven't added them to the system yet. I don't see it for mine either, and none of the help articles list the treasure yet. Guessing as it gets closer to the first sailing

I think you're right. I have three upcoming cruises: Magic, Treasure, and Fantasy (chronologically in that order). I can see to make DB+ orders for my Magic and Fantasy sailings, but not for my Treasure sailing. So I think it is because it's the Treasure.

If it was purely based on X number of days out, that would make no sense because my Fantasy cruise, which is later than my Treasure cruise, is showing up.

Yep, that's what happened to me as well. After I called them and they did something behind the scenes I was able to get it to work.

My experience was not good. We ordered ours and followed all the advice having them charged and ready to board the Wish last December. They only worked to open our doors. After repeated trips to guest services they gave me another one (My original was personalized with my name on the back). They are supposed to interact with some shows on deck and in the atrium by lighting up and vibrating. Even the new one they gave me did not interact. So I lost my personalized one when they gave me a new one and basically lost $100 by buying them in the first place. I hope you have better luck.

If there are designs now you like, order them. If not, wait a while and see what new designs get released.

The MB+ purchased through your cruise reservation can also be used at Disneyland and Disney World, so if you have trips to either location before your cruise, you can use them there.

For the MB+, Disney recommends you fully charge them once every 6 months.

I am sailing on the Treasure in 2025 and I am able to see and order the MagicBands in my cruise app. Just deciding who wants what!
