Magicband On Demand coming to WDW

Disney has announced that guests will soon be able to customize their own magicbands at a Magicband on demand station in tomorrowland. This is similar to the custom cell phone case service Disney also provides. The long rumored purple magicband will be part of this service.

Would be neat if the customization options existed for the free ones you get when you book an onsite vacation. I would have gladly paid an upcharge to get something beyond the standard base colors they currently offer. I actually ended up ordering from a third party reseller at a marked up price as Disney wasn't selling MagicBands online at the time and I didn't think they would start before our trip.

Being able to select any color, add a name, and pick a printed design when customizing your family's magicband order would be awesome.

So bummed for my girls that purple isn't an option (yet) for the "complimentary" Magicbands.

Well this is in the same space as the d-tech on demand area that opened about a week or so ago.

Well my DD lost her free pink magic band in Space Mountain that got replaced with a gray one. No crying or care about lack of color. I doubt I will pay anything for the bands. Apparently, we're not the target group. Cute idea though.

we caught this too, saw a price but have not seen a price for the cell phone cases. does anyone know the range in price for the cell phone cases? n I'm guessing $30-ish due to the price of the magic bands but was curious

The cell cases run 35 to 45

An iPhone 6 case will fit an iPhone 6s. You can buy pre made cases all over the property or you can customize cases in tomorrowland next to space mountain or in Disney Springs at the co op.

Every band is good for a year maybe a bit longer.

I would not pay for a band as they take a bit of a beating ... we have been three times since bands started and each time we get new ones.
We do keep the old but they are not great looking - remember you eat, wash you hands, get wet, get dry .... yada yada yada with them on!!!!

They give you solid colors free as well.

Lots of people pay for the magic bands.

I was amazed at how many people had gray bands. Not sure if that many people just didn't do the basic online check in, or just didn't care. One of the highlights of our trip was getting our magicbands in the mail a few weeks before arriving!
