Magical Oct 4, 2014 Southern Caribbean

I would love to see some tech upgrades! Magical portholes (even though we are not inside this time) or the midship detective agency would be great. Id also love a small sitting area like satellite falls where we can sploosh around. :thumbsup2

Hmm Well I have heard the Aqua duck rumor... I am hoping a smaller version. But mostly I would like to see the kids clubs redone. My DD has been in the clubs since 2 and is gonna turn 10 in Jan. 5 cruises same old clubs. I guess mostly since when she first started they seperated the kids by age..now its 3-10 yr olds... that is a LARGE gap! I think they need to offer things only for the 8-10 range that is more intriguing to them instead of kiddie things.....seperate the 3 yr olds from the 8-10 yr olds!! Just don't get rid of the pirate slide as that is a major hit with all ages...:thumbsup2

Agree about the clubs......my kids are adults now and they wish they had some of the things that are on the new ships back when they were kids. That is a huge gap for the age groups !

Although I have yet to be on the Magic, I am hoping that she will get some of the tech upgrades of her newer sisters.

We are scheduled to sail on the voyage right after she gets out of dry dock, so I will be sure to let you all know what we find. :):)

:yay:can't wait to hear all about it.

I have seen some ideas on the PC thread. One - put a dowel thru the grommets and then hang with shoe laces on one of the hooks or in the closet. Two - use twine thru the grommets and loop them over the bathroom door and tie onto the hook on the inside of the door. DISers will get creative and save damage but still be able to keep us organized. :thumbsup2

I had no doubt Disers would figure something out. :rotfl2: Thanks for sharing. I like the idea with the twine. :thumbsup2

Oh yes how could I forget about the detective game ! We had so much fun doing this.

I am probably the only person sad that they are changing the restaurants... I was hoping to see the original concepts too but I guess we are sailing too late to see the classic ships as classic....

Not the only person....I personally don't like that photo of their new design. I wish they would keep the look of the restaurants the same.

Re: The previously rumored remodel of Parrot Cay into a Brazilian themed restaurant now has a name, Cariocas. Carioca is defined as a native of Rio de Janeiro.

Parrot cay has always been our least favorite. We welcome the change. Now if Brazilian theme = Brazilian steakhouse, we will be in protein heaven!

Pulling off a Brazilian steakhouse would be rather difficult. And not off a great variety. I am willing to bet they are going to play on the 'Carnival' atmostphere for peppiness and bright colors.

One can dream!

Wow ! I am not sure how I feel about that. I don't want to feel like I am on a 'new' ship. I was just hoping for new bedding. :rotfl2:

My DH would love this ! Parrot Cay was our least favorite too.

Hi All.....we're back from house hunting near the mouse and I'm happy to say we found something good. We sign the lease on the 30th. We're keeping our home in the Poconos and renting in Florida. We're about 15 minutes away from the mouse. I'm so happy and relieved that we got our home. I can't wait to move now.

I'm sad to see the Magic and the Wonder have any kind of a facelift. I like them just the way they are.

If I had to pick one thing though, I would say Shutters. I love the way it works on the Dream and the Fantasy. That would be an improvement that I wouldn't mind seeing on the classics.

Has the Cove Cafe been updated on the Magic? We really loved what they did on the Wonder, but I understand that was done mostly because of the Alaska itinerary.

Hey everyone! We just got back from ten wonderful adventure filled days in Hawaii, mostly spent at Aulani. We planned for it to be half there and half at a rental house but things didn't go great so we left the rental house and went back to Aulani. We did a villa first then standard room the second time.

Here is a link to my blog. There are lots of pics! There is one entry for each of the ten days.

Enjoy!

Yay for you!!! Glad you found something in your first visit to look. :thumbsup2

I agree. I love my ships just the way they are.:flower3: But....I'm not a real fan of change for the sake of change in any aspect of my life. :scared:

Angie, we're down the road from Monica.

That's another friend who is a Thief, but she is not on this cruise.

We actually scouted agents, homes and neighboorhoods in December on our trip down there. We worked exclusively with one agent and she knew what we wanted so she sent us listings. We picked out four homes to go and see this trip. We love the one that worked out for us. It's a quiet neighborhood away from the tourist crowds. But Mickey is only 15 minutes down the highway from us. Exactly what we were looking for.
