Magical Oct 4, 2014 Southern Caribbean

. Excited about st. Lucia. Ok so I probably won't do an excursion at every island cause I just need another sea/relaxation day...so anyone who has been there, which island would you pick to do nothing. ...which one is not a MUST see???

I can't even guess. The ones I have been to, I want to see again. Then the new ones, I can't miss. My first thought would be to skip St.Kitts since we are only there a short while. Problem with that is that we plan on spending the day at Brimstone Hill Fortress. Didn't get enough of that place last time.

I booked a van for robin, jess &my families. Excited about st. Lucia. Ok so I probably won't do an excursion at every island cause I just need another sea/relaxation day...so anyone who has been there, which island would you pick to do nothing. ...which one is not a MUST see???

I don't want to miss any of them. But I'll do a short excursion so I can be back onboard early and have a half a day on the boat. Probably in St. Kitts. It's a smaller island and shouldn't be missed, but you can do it quickly. I bought a beautiful pair of earrings there and saved a bundle last trip. It's great for shopping.

I wouldn't skip Barbados either. I have never ever met anyone as nice as the people of Barbados are. We took a cab ride and I wanted to give the driver $20 for the ride. He insisted that he only take $10. It was a short trip and that was fair to him. I've never come across that before anywhere. Everyone we met there was genuine and happy and kind. AND we got to swim with sea turtles there. I'll do that again.

I have never been to Grenada, so I can't miss that one. I love that each of the islands are so different from one another.

Deb-- I saw the sea turtles.. I was thinking the girls would love that. We loved swimming with the dolphins and would love to do again some day but I think sea turtles would be cool too. Was it expensive and did U do through the cruise lines or on ur own? If on your own--through whom?? I am hoping to get some idea what I would love to do so I can see how much I can expect this wonderful cruise to cost. I have a feeling more then most since there are so many ports of call.

Hi Michelle....it was a DCL excursion, but I don't remember what it cost. I know it fills up fast so you have to book early. We did a kyack paddle first and then the boat took us to swim with the turtles. It's an awesome experience. Just as amazing as swimming with dolphins....we have done that too. The turtles were my favorite though because I am an avid collector. I must have hundreds of them literally all around my house. I used to have 7 live ones too, but I had to send them off to a turtle sanctuary because we're moving. They will be happy living in a big pond with many friends though.

Other than DCL and cruising, which is our favorite thing of all time to do, we are very social people and love to entertain. John loves to cook, so I don't have to, and we like to have guests over for dinner parties.

Of course, there's the DIS and FB which takes up lots of my time....

Did you and MJ meet onboard?

I might have. :confused3 There was only a couple hundred pirates onboard. :rotfl2: I really remember MJ from the Hawaii cruise.

We did a swim with turtles in St. Thomas through DCL and I think it was like 55.00 per person. It was awesome !!

Michelle, we're moving to the Orlando area within the next month. So I was packing out a back bedroom and found a tee shirt from the Barbados excursion that we did. It says, "Oceano Adventures" Barbados. Now you can look them up online. Perfect timing! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Here's a good link to Barbados and swimming with the turtles:

You guys are lucky...Corinna didn't start the jewelry classes till after our 2009 cruise with her. But she has had some amazing things made for my girls. She such a wonderful, caring person.

Lots of things! I run, love to cook, have a garden, volunteer at the zoo, do hula with a local halau (school), in addition to reading & playing video games when I have time! I also spend a lot of time pampering my pets, lol! That's on top of my full time job!

We booked the first day but I haven't had a chance to get on this thread until today...
Looking forward to sailing with everyone...I see several familiar disnames!
