Magical Oct 4, 2014 Southern Caribbean

So while I joined up a couple of months ago, we are now officially on this cruise. We booked while on the Magic (Med to Greece) in July. It will be me (Laura), my Mom (Dianne - we'll be celebrating her retirement - which will be the end of this year, but still this is going to be her present) and DS (Mateo)who will be 7, turning 8 on the last day of the cruise.

We had a blast on the Magic in July and Mateo is already looking forward to going back!

While I was at the future cruise desk to sign up, Chip and Dale were walking by. Dale stopped to check out what I was doing. I told him I was booking another cruise on the Magic and did he want to come with us? So he got all excited. I told him he had to sign up...so he signed his name of the cruise quote form so he can come with us. We told DS (he was in the kids club but DH had pictures) and now he is talking all about how Chip and Dale (because we all know Dale doesn't go anywhere without Chip) are coming with us on the trip! So cute!!

WOW!! What an amazing trip. Hilarious about Dale :) So fun

We were married at Castaway. :goodvibes

Very cool. :goodvibes:love:

Good Morning Everyone !:wave2: We set sail in 427 Days ! :woohoo::dance3::woohoo:

Yeah !! So what did you enjoy in the ports that we are going to visit ? I agree about San Juan. We were there on the Fantasy last Thanksgiving and really enjoyed walking around on our own .

I cant find the excursion names for our 11 day Southern Caribbean cruise from September 2006 on the Disney Wonder but after looking at our photos I came up with these memories of the southern islands.
St. Lucia- Sailed on the pirate ship Unicorn (was used in one of Disney's pirate films) Sailed to Pigeon Island and hiked high up to an old fortress there. Great views from top of fortress and fun sailing on the pirate ship too!
Barbados- Island tour included Barbados Wildlife Preserve (up close with green monkeys, colorful McCaw, Komodo Dragon, Tortoises, and other tropical animals. Shady walk through the preserve and fun for the kids too!
Antigua- Island Tour stopped at an old British sailing shipyard with canons, hotel and a tavern. (very picturesque )Also toured a beautiful pineapple farm (tasty too!)
St. Kitts- Island Tour include a huge Spanish fortress on a mountain top (great views) and the gorgeous Romney Manor botanical gardens which also included a Caribelle Batik cloth printing demonstration and shop. In 2006 they were constructing a really nice duty-free shopping center with many stores at the entrance to the dock for our ship. Im sure it is finished now and should be handy since it is so close.:)

Oh! We did that same Antigua tour. The pineapple was delicious and the family that owns it SO hospitable. At the end of our tour the bus stopped at their home and the daughter said to us - a bus full of strangers! - "if anyone needs to use the restroom you are welcome to use the one in our home." We loved them!

Angie--you and Dennis are so cute! :bride::groom:

.

Garwsh!! :bitelip::lmao::grouphug:

It will be fun :)

While I actually booked the cruise a couple of weeks ago, I completely forgot about coming here and checking to see who else is cruising with us!!!! We have two cabins, 6586 for DH and I, and 6587 for our two DDs!!! Both girls will be over 21 when we cruise, so I'm already starting the "booze fund" (trust me, it will be needed!). It's going to be weird not embarking at Port Canaveral, (and not staying at a Disney property the night before), but that will be part of the adventure!!!!:)

Welcome Disneylover and family :)

There is an FB group as well if you are on FB, it's a fun group.:)

Thanks Sweetlovin'!! I just went over there and I THINK I put in a request to be added to the group! :)

Thanks for sharing ! I can't wait to see what else DCL will offer. Were you in St, Kitts longer then we are going to be ? Wonder if we will have any real time to do anything ?:confused3

For Barbados I was looking at the Harrison cave tour. Did you hear anything about that one ? The tour you did sounds nice.

:yay: NEAT!!
Pictures? :confused3

.

I cant get into my photobucket. Ever since I downloaded the app to my phone I cant get into either one. :confused3 I could post on your fb wall if you like ?
