A lot of threads here are so hilarious about not-so-bright people and the shocking things they do, but what about the Magical Moments? Has a CM or even another guest in the park done something above and beyond that made your trip 1,000X better?

My sister lost her glasses at one of the water parks. It was going to nearly ruin our trip. I talked to a CM and asked where I could call at the end of the day to see if someone found them in the water. She asked me if I wanted her to call another CM and have them dive for her glasses. I said yes, and the guy game and found them in less than ten minutes. I was very thankful! They went above and beyond.

i've posted this before but one of my most magical was when the cm driver on the FW hayride let my kids sit up front with her and drive the horses...my daughters were on cloud 9...

that and the first time we went into Mk and saw the castle. I was so thrilled to be able to take my girls there since i had drooled over disneyland on wonderful world of disney when i was a kid and never got to go there ( we lived in the east and it was far far away thenin the old covered wagon days :)) guess this isn't really what you asked but it was magical to me!

While at guest services in EPCOT, the CM found out that our daughter's favorite movie is Lion King. The CM said that was her favorite too and gave DD a small plastic Simba. DD loved the special attention and she still has that little Simba to this day. ::MinnieMo

We took a trip last Nov with my friend and her family...she has 2 sons with special needs...the oldest, was 15 at the time (past the cute stage) has autism...he had a lot of trouble getting on rides (too dark, too noisy, too scary, whatever)...but he REALLY wanted to do Journey to Imagination...but as many children with autism do, at the last minute he balked and would not get in the car....I stayed with him while his mom, and the rest of the 2 families went on since we were holding up the line. A very kind older hispanic woman CM that was loading the ride ushered us off to the side so he could calm down....he wanted to ride SO badly, but just couldn't make himself get on. As I talked to him the CM came back over and brought him her flash light and told him he could turn it on anytime he wanted if it got too dark, then she offered to ride with us so she could tell him when the noises were going to come.

He agreed and she rode with us, he held onto the flashlight for dear life, she kept up a calm running commentary about what was coming next...he was so happy and proud of himself...then she let us stay in the car and ride again when she got out and went back to work.

After we got off we went to thank her and return the flashlight and she insisted he keep it for "all the other rides"....to this day whenever he talks about the trip to WDW the 2 things he loves to talk about are the monorail and when we rode the ride with the nice flaslight lady....the flashlight is at his bedside to this day!!

It was a magical moment that would not have been possible without that kind woman...It would have been so easy to dismiss us as "wierd" or "crazy" but what she did made a great and happy memory out of what could have been a very unhappy moment.I have always regretted that I never found out her name.

We had an early breakfast reservation at the then Aladin character breakfast in MGM while we were on our honeymoon. As soon as we sat down, the CM brought complementary mimosas to our table and Aladin and Jasmine came over to toast us to a lifetime of happiness...

I went solo in May 05 and I met a very nice lady on the Land ride. We chatted in line and a bit on the boat then went our separate ways. Later that evening I was just getting off the glider of Soarin' and talking to some other nice people about how great that ride is - when I felt a tap on my shoulder. Here she was again! Her young daughter was too tired to do it again and they had one FP left for it and wanted to give it to me! That little girl said they were looking for the right person when her mom pointed me out - how touching! I told her she was spreading pixie dust, and that's what makes WDW magical.

This isn't nearly as touching as any of the other posts but.. We stayed at Pop Century last Sept and I had gone down to the laundry room to wash some clothes and I hadn't planned on washing while I was down there so I hadn't packed detergent or dryer sheets. Anyway I went in and purchased the soap and this "seasoned professional traveler" was in there and we talked a little and I left while my clothes were washing and I came back and she had left me dryer sheets on top of my washers I had. It just really made my day. Nothing is too small to get excited over, acts of kindness are wonderful. :flower:

very touching :earsboy:

When my daughter was 3 years old, she wasn't quite tall enough to ride Triceratop Spin in AK. She was quite upset, but then a really nice CM gave her a dinosaur finger puppet and let her move to a better vantage point to see her brother come down the hill. She was thrilled!

Then on another trip around 3 months later, the same daughter was very afraid to go into the dark with the dinosaurs on Ellen's Energy Adventure. She was crying outside so I told my husband to take DS and go inside. A very nice CM overheard and brought my daughter a "magic Minnie" pin to put on her Minnie ears. She told her that it was magic and whenever she got scared she could rub it and she wouldn't be scared anymore. She wore it all throughout the ride and was fine. She believed in the "magic" so much she even wore it when she had to have dental work a month later and was completely fine.

It's CM's like these two and the others mentioned above which make my family go back to WDW and DL time and time again!

SB in Ky, what a nice story. It brought tears to my eyes. That is what it is all about, what a great CM.

These are so touching! I love hearing these kinds of stories! So very special!!

This isn't mine, hope to have one soon, we're going in Oct.....

But my SIL and her DH and two boys we're waiting for AK to open and a CM came up and asked if they would like to be first on the safari ride. She thought they we're just going to be first on....they we not only first, they got their own truck, just the four of them....very magical for them, it made them feel really special

My granddaughter was not having too good a day on our last trip to the World. Early on the second day she lost her backpack with her autograph book and her lanyard/with pins, and her camera. Her favorite Princess is Snow White and she had just gotten her book signed and a picture and a new pin all of Snow White. She was devistated. When we got back to the room there was a picture and note from Snow White! We had gone to Lost and Found in the MK and apparently the CM there had passed the info on to that special "Princess"! Later in the week, we were at Epcot and Elizabeth spotted Snow White standing all by herself. She ran to her and threw her arms around her and told her "Thank you for the picture and the note". Snow bent over and gave her one of her "special" Kisses that stayed with her the rest of the day!! She would tell anyone that asked that Snow White was her special friend and when she grew up she was going to be Snow White!! It was very magical for Elizabeth!

Yesterday, DD (17) and I were at Once Upon A Toy at DTD. They have this mechanical Stitch toy there. When you squeeze his hand he sings and dances. DD just loves him. While I was buying something, she was dancing with Stitch. I don't think she thought anyone was watching her, but a CM was. As we got ready to leave the store, the CM came over and gave DD a card. The card said it was to acknowledge a magical moment observed at DW. Very cute!

My dd4 was waiting with dh, fil and mil early one morning at Epcot while I took dd6 to the restroom. When I came out a cm (Ica from Elmherst (sp?) NJ) was talking w/dd4. He then asked her what her favorite character was and told us to wait where we were for a minute. He came back with a Nala pin for dd4 and another pin (girl from Hercules) for dd6. It was a very magical moment for us. :)

While on our trip last year my DH :earsboy: was in charge of holding our hopper passes(4). After using them to get a Fass Pass for Space Mountain :Pinkbounc , he realized he had lost one of them :rolleyes1 .This was our first full day of our vacation, need I tell you about my blood pressure at that point :earseek: ! We went to the customer service building to ask if anyone had turned in a lost pass ( :rotfl: thought someone might be nice? :rotfl: ). No one had turned one in, but after the CM asked my DH :earsboy: a few questions, they gave us a new hopper pass. My DH thanked the CM for saving his marriage, and we were on our way. So if your were at DisneyWorld, 11/10/04. I was the crazy DW :earseek: yelling at her DH :earsboy: .

Last year my gf and i were walking down main street in the mk,and a cast member approached and asked us where we were from. Then he pulled us aside into a sporting apparal shop and had my gf putt a golf ball about 7 feet to win 2 passes to some mini golf.Well as a big crowd gathered around inside the store my gf got nervous and could not make the putt. The cm kept cracking jokes and gave us the mini golf anyway. And he also gave my gf a certificate stating this was her magical moment. It was singed by the cm and mickey mouse....it was very cool. :cool1:

Not as "magical" as most listed, but a very nice gesture made by a CM that we were very grateful for:

We dined at Pepper Market late one evening, but were staying at POP, so we needed to go to DTD to catch the bus back to POP. DD6 was extremely tired, so I told her to try to sleep because it was going to be awhile. We were the only ones on the bus. The driver overheard me & took us straight to POP instead of DTD. :flower:

Another one, which may actually be very common: We were going to PSB breakfast, but stopped to rent a locker first. When we came out, a CM on a tram pulled up said to DD "Hello Princess, Are you going to breakfast?" When she said yes, he told us to get in & he would drive us over because a Princess shouldn't have to walk. princess:

This is such a great thread...heres hoping it continues....shortly after BW opened we had stayed there one night before checking into OKW for the week. DD (then about 4 or 5) and I wandered down to the desk early the next AM (early, like 6AM...the kid NEVER slept!! and I was trying to keep her from waking the whole family up) and asked if there was anyway to get over to OKW (I like to check in early and avoid the Sunday afternoon madhouse)...the CM at the desk asked jokingly who we were going to wake up at OKW? and DD told him she was too excited to sleep, her grammy and favorite aunt were coming that day, etc, etc....he smiled and told us to go wait out front and he would see what he could do...

2 minutes later a new white cadillac pulled up and one of the valet guys hopped out and told us he was going to drive us over to OKW...he was happy because they never let him drive the BW caddy before...he was so cute...he drove us over to OKW, waited while we checked in and then drove us back to BW...he told my daughter that she was really lucky to get to ride in the "princess mobile"...she must be royalty because only really important people and princesses got to ride in that car....she was on cloud 9 all week.
