HAPPY NEW YEAR

...to you and your family. I hope the New Year is both happy and prosperous for you :goodvibes

Thanks :) . Happy New Year to you too!!!

Well its now officially been 2009 now for 2 hours. Its so strange to think you still have 3 hours to go till its 2009 for you, were currently in different years :upsidedow

Good thanks. We went out for a Chinese and then went back to ours and played games and had drinks and snacks. We watched the London New Year fireworks on TV at midnight, it was so busy. We had thought about going to watch them but seeing the crowds we are glad we didn't.

The fireworks sounds nice but I would rather not deal with crowds either :goodvibes .

I know, I am so bad with crowds and try to avoid them as much as possible. I can just about deal with ride crowds at Disney because they are generally orderly, but even the parade and fireworks crowds can get a bit much some times. When we were at DLP for New Years Eve a few years ago we were on Main Street for the midnight fireworks and it was shoulder to shoulder of people pushing and shoving with no way out. All you could see for miles was a sea of people, and it was freezing cold and raining too. Although I was glad to be at DLP and it was a great experience, I wouldn't do it again.

Crowds are the worst. I have skipped many nightime shows at Disney because I wasn't in the mood for crowds. But i'm sure NYE is really packed :scared: :scared1: . Well at least you can say you got to see once even with rain and horrible crowds. Once was enough i'm sure :) .

I have some great news! We have decided to look into booking a trip for this May :woohoo: . Most likely over Thomas' Birthday. Kaylee will miss the last week of school. We are not exact on our dates yet or resort. Taking today to figure out the details, resort, fly or drive, DDP or not. Looks like we will only go for 5 nights and cancel our October plans. But I really want to go see Flower & Garden at Epcot. As far as resorts I would love to stay at WL or BC but we may have to go with a moderate. I'll update with the plans as soon I figure it all out.:goodvibes

Oh how exciting. I loved going in May, you have great weather, low crowds and the Flower Festival was beautiful. I hope you get your plans sorted soon, can't wait to hear about them. What dates were you thinking of?

Yay!!!! We had such a good time this past May...the weather was beautiful (though it did get a tad on the hot side) and the crowds were very low. I'd go again in a heartbeat. You'll have such a great trip!

That is GREAT news Nichole! I am so happy for you! We have been the last 2 years for Flower and Garden festival and it is AWESOME!:goodvibes At least you still have time before you can even make your ADR'S too:thumbsup2

Ever thought about trying to rent DVC points. We are staying at BCV in a studio 5/10-5/15 (I get to walk down Main St on Mother's Day:lovestruc ). I paid $10 a point for 65 points- that's $650 for the five nights with no tax or resort fees!

If you end up going that same week I would love to set up a DIS meet!

Thanks :goodvibes,Sounds great. I'm sure it will get busier closer to Memorial Day weekend. I can take heat but in October it sooo humid :scared: . If I put on makup it melts in 5 minutes  .

Thanks Diane :goodvibes . Yes I will be working on ADR's too. I'm looking forward to seeing F&G at Epcot :) .

Funny you should mention it, I have been looking inot it all day. Since the 4/7 deal is not that great for us. :sad1: Unfotunately BCV was not available. I really had my heart set on staying there too. It is so expensive otheriwse. A 1 bedroom would be a great deal though and so would a studio. AKLV has no opening either. I thought about Saratoga or Boardwalk since they have openings, at least they did earlier. As of now we are sticking with May 17-22 since will celebrate Thomas' Bday! You are going to have and awesome Mother's Day. I did think of Mother's Day at first but then Thomas would miss preschool graduation and Birthday cupcakes at school. He had such trouble adjusting to school so I'm really proud of him.

congrats on going back!! I wish i was going sooner.,:guilty:

Congrats on the May trip...my favourite time of year. You seriously can't go wrong with May!
