magical Gatherings?????

We are headed down to the world in the end of Oct. with my MIL and FIL, just so happens that my DW aunt and uncle are meeting us there also and staying with us for 6 days. This will bring are party size up to 8 just enough for a MG. What I am wondering is it worth it or should we just stick with are origanle dinning plans. If any one has done one of these please give me some insite to how they are. Thanks .

I haven't done it yet, but we're booked for a Grand Gathering Safari Dinner. It sounds like a fun experience! From what I've been told, they take you on safari first, no poacher theme, and they spend a bit more time talking to you about the animals, stopping more. Then you have dinner at Tusker House. It's family style, brought to your table and just your group. Sounds like the food offerings come from AKL restaurants. There is some entertainment, characters and CMs bring out some small animals. If you're on the dining plan you can use 2 table service credits to pay for it. When I booked it the CM said it's limited to 130 people total.

This is just one of many GG events you can partake of...I'd look around on the Disney site and see what interests your group. Have fun planning!

I have done the International Buffet (twice), the Safari Dinner, and the Wishes! Dessert Cruise (3 times). They are all well worth it. To be a GG doesn't cost anything extra. I believe if you are on DDP you can get the emals for two TS credits each.

We have done the Wishes desert cruise (2 times) and the Safari dinner. We all really thought that the experiences were definately worth the money. I was a little anxious about the Safari dinner because we (including me) have a lot of picky eaters. I shoudn't have worried! We all left with extremely full tummys!
