Me 34 always loved Disney!
Dh 33 not really bothered (at least he never says if he is!)
Ds1 4 loves Minnie mouse and Cinderella!
Ds2 2 doesnt talk so have no idea what he likes!!
Monday 9th
Day 2 and the excitement was about to begin!! Alarm all set for 6.30am (eek) and breakfast should be 7am . We awoke ok, but were 15mins late for breakfast, but it was fairly quite and we got our food and munched away!! Good selection of cereals & rolls, so nothing to complain about very pleased with hotel cheyanne!!
Heard the announcement that the park was about to open cue panic lol rushed back to room, grabbed bags (already packed ready to go) and got to bus stop, just as bus pulled up (think our whole trip was lucky really!!)
Arrived at park, and ds2 was getting excited again, ds1 also excited, but more for the rides!! Walked through and took sum pics .
Was misty this morning, but was in high hopes that the weather report id seen before we left was gonna be right 25 deg c . booked ourselves a table at plaza gardens for 2pm, and then headed for fantasyland!
1st stop dumbo ds2 loved this ride (its his fav now) so did this twice, then peter pan (twice), followed by the teacups, and then pinochio, and then the carousel.
We then headed thru to do buzz, which was brill (spec as it stopped part way round cue mad firing to boost the scores!) and am proud to say I still hold the highest in our family 79700 I was pleased lol.
Did this twice too, and then headed to the castle to have a look around it and take some more pics!!
By now the sun was starting to come out and it looked like the forecast was right ..
and then the announcement that the park was open came, so asked ds1 who he wanted to meet and off we went to wait for Minnie mouse!(had got autograph book previous day 4,50 eur) Got to meet her after about 15 mins, ds2 went all shy, but ds1 gave her a big hug and a kiss on her nose!! Minnie was pleased to see the boys wearing their mickey tshirts too! (didnt notice mine tho!)
As it had been a quite wait, we headed down to queue for mickey this was a much longer queue, but just after we got there, they announced that the mary poppins show was starting so we left dh queuing and went and watched this it was very good, and again we were lucky as were right at the front!!
Went back to the queue and by this time it was getting quite sunny and hot, but it was worth it to meet the MOUSE himself!!
Yes, I had to get my own pic with him!
After this we headed back up main street, and stopped to watch the character express (god I love that song, and really need to find it to download!!) whilst standing, we realised that the princesses were doing their signing, but due to the time (it was now getting towards midday) the queue was so long, so consoled ds1 by takin a pic of Cinderella (his fav) from the seating area on max zoom!
As we now had time to kill, we thought wed go n say hi to the dragon, except we had forgot how to find it, so at least that filled some more time up!!! Ds2 wasnt too impressed with the dragon tho! After coming out we found that the sleeping beauty show was on, so stopped to catch the end of that it did look good, and am disappointed we never did managed to see it all.
Still too early for our lunch booking, so we went and explored the shops with ds1 buying a mickey mouse and a Minnie mouse both dressed in their parade outfits, and ds2 buying a plastic fire engine with mickey in!! As we were hungry, we thought wed go and ask about our table, and found that we could go in early but then found out that they now only accepted the half board standard vouchers for dinner which when I asked the times of that, was told 4pm 6pm!! So I explained that no one had told me this, and that nothing was explained clearly, and they let us in result! Lovely food, a good variety of hot and cold, and some delicious puddings .. pleased we went there, but wudnt want the dinner sitting as it wud be clashing with the character meals, and not fair on the kids to sit in a sep place and know the characters were out of their reach!
Came out, nicely filled up, had a sit in the sun and realised it was character express time, so we decided to brave the crush and see if we cud get some autographs we managed Jessie & goofy.
It wasnt too bad, yes, certain nations do push more, but even tho us English hold back, we get there in the end!! Ds1 managed to get the autographs, and I asked for a picture, and was impressed how they kind of cleared the others out of the way, so the picture wudnt be full of ppl in the way. Another thing I noticed it only ever seemed to be the English that thanked the characters are we really that polite??????
So parade time again this time tho, we were really getting hot, and there really isnt much shade around bella notte unless ur there 2 hrs in advance!! We decided to stand the opposite side this time, so we cud clearly see the gates where they come though and did like this spot. Again some great pictures, so can def recommend this spot .. EXCEPT this time, the floats did not stop at this point!! We followed the parade, and it seemed like they were using only one stop not sure if this has happened before to anyone??? So just be warned!!

So . Due to it being so hot, and we were still tired (it had been an early morning again) so again we didnt get to see candleabration but you must admit, we had a fun filled day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Day 3 to follow our last day in the parks .. would we ever get to see the studios AND stay long enough to see candleabration????
