so whats the deal with this? i made our reservation with pop for april 19 and 20. and included is magical express from the airport. what i read was that they take our luggage? how do they know its ours? do we get luggage tags? how many do we get?
Each guest gets two DME luggage tags. The luggage tags are made of the same type of sticky paper that the airline luggage tags are made of (you know, the ones with the 3-letter airport code on them), but they are yellow and they aren't as wide. They're sent out to you, along with the entire DME booklet, about 21 days prior to departure. Before you leave home, put a DME tag on each piece of CHECKED luggage. After the luggage arrives at MCO, employees set it aside before it gets to the baggage claim carousel (they pull all of the bags tagged with the special DME tags). The bar-code on the tag is scanned, and the bags are sent by truck to your resort. The bags will "magically" appear in your room a few hours later. You will arrive before your bags do, so prepare for this by packing necessities in your carry-ons (I do this EVERY time I fly anywhere, just in case the airline delays my luggage). You don't have to wait for your bags to be delivered -- Bell Services will bring them into your room even if you're not there, and they've already been tipped by Disney so you don't have to feel badly that they're not earning enough money! When my bags arrived, I was in the pool with my kids, and we found the luggage in our room when we returned from the pool. We'd packed bathing suits, change of clothes, diapers, etc., so we were in no way hampered by not having our suitcases because we PLANNED to function and enjoy without them for a while.

travelling with an infant creates MORE luggage than we like. also car seats for 2....
Please note that you won't be able to use your car safety seats on the DME buses OR on the Disney Transport buses -- Disney Transport is the bus system that takes you from your resort to the parks and back. When you ride DME, the car safety seats will be stowed under the bus in the cargo hold. Once you get them to your room, they will stay there until you go back to the airport, because, like I said, you can't use them on Disney Transport buses. Relax, people do this with their little ones all the time. If you're not OK with it, however, your only option is to rent a car and drive EVERYWHERE yourself.

how long does it take to get from mco to pop?
what if they dont show up?
There's no set time frame, because there are several variables involved. I think most people have been reporting getting to Pop within about one hour of landing at the airport. And there are many, MANY DME buses, so you don't have to worry about no-shows. And should that strange circumstance occur, there are Disney cast members running things at the DME center and you can be helped by them. Same thing for your return trip -- if there's a bus problem, tell the CMs at your resort and they'll make everything magical for you.
ENJOY!
