What paperwork do you need when you check in? I have my luggage tags for my luggage but don't have anything else. Do they still do the tickets? I don't have those !! I'm Leaving on Friday and am having a melt down!lol

If you lost your letter you're still fine. You're in the system. Just show up at DME check in and you're good to go. ID works, or Magic Band.
If you never made DME reservations you'll still get on a bus but could be delayed until a bus has room.

It's funny.. I have a picture of the letter cuz I took it and sent it to my boyfriend when I got it... I definitely have a reservation... just can't find the letter! Grrr
Have everything else.. luggage tags and all that..

:thumbsup2 You'll be fine with you MagicBand...a quick scan and they'll send you to the correct line. Pre-trip jitters :goodvibes...I know them well. Had a panic attack last night when I couldn't find my flight information ; papers were right where I left them so I wouldn't loose them ...in my "trip folder" on my kitchen cabinet! We still have 2 months to go so I know they'll be more of those panic attacks but you can relax...you're ALMOST THERE! :tink:

Going to Disney, boarding the Magical Express buses is more or less first come first served.

If you don't have your magic band yet and also don't have paperwork in hand, or are unlucky enough to have a glitch affect you, you may have to go to the counter while others who were coming down the corridor after you may be sent directly to the bus queues by the roving welcoming CM, thus "getting ahead" of you.

If you don't have other paperwork or misplaced it, bring a copy of the yellow baggage tags.

You must have made an advance reservation to use Magical Express.

All you need is a valid resort reservation number to be accommodated as a DME walk up at MCO. You don't need to have reserved DME in advance. They won't turn you away.
This keeps cropping up. According to everything I've heard and seen, DME is NOT supposed to take walkups. It is in direct violationof the contract they have with MCO. When DME came into being, a lot of towncar and cab drivers were hit hard. So, MCO asked that DME not take walkups. Now...will they? Quite possibly. But I am not going to be that person that tells someone they don't need an existing reservation to board a bus. Booking DME is very easy...just call them. You can call them the day before you are due to arrive at MCO, and they can add it to your reservation.

Their contract with MCO requires that you have a Disney owned resort reservation. DME has to find a resort reservation for you. But there is no requirement to reserve DME. DME is required to operate as a resort transfer service, not a scheduled bus service.

So, I think you may be confusing which reservation is needed. The resort reservation is so you are correct that one can't just walk up without one and get on the bus. But, with a valid resort reservation all they need to do is scan your mb or find you in their system and you are good to go since they are transferring you to you hotel.
