I posted this somewhere else first, but this seems like the right place:

Hi Everyone!
I don't know if this is the right place for this question or not, but here goes...
We were just at Disney and have a chance to go back for 2 nights at the end of August just before a cruise (NOT Disney). ANyways, my question, I know if we stay on property (which we are) we can take the Magical Express from the airport to Disney when we arrive, but when we need to go to the port for our cruise, can we pay extra and travel on the bus to the port (even though our cruise is with Carnival), or do they not allow that? Thanks so much for any help!!

The bus goes directly to the DCL terminal, so I doubt they will let you ride the DCL bus to the port. I think your best bet would be to arrange for private transportation or rent a car to get to the port.

DME runs only between MCO and the WDW resorts. You certainly can use the service for free when you arrive and go to your WDW resort.

However, DME does not take passengers to cruises. DCL offers transfers between the airport and the resorts and the port, but you have to be booked on a Disney cruise to use the transfers and they are not free.

Carnival offers transfers from MCO to their cruises for about $75 pp round trip and you could take DME back to the airport from your resort, then catch the Carnival shuttle. That would involve dragging all of your bags around, however, and if you have three or more people it would cost you as much as or more than hiring a town car to take you from your resort to the Carnival terminal and then back to the airport after the cruise.

There should be a link on the Carnival website where you can book an airport transfer.
As previously mentioned it might be just as cost effective, and certainly more convenient, to book a towncar from wherever you are staying directly to Port Canaveral.

Hi so funny I have this same dilema. What skd and myself needs is transportation from Disney Resort to Port Canaveral. Yes you can use Magical express from the airport to resort when you first arrive but that's the last time you will see the bus. From Resort to Port it would be best to call town car services. Its not necessarily "round trip" since you're not going back to the resort but back to airport instead.

From resort to port , then from port to airport when going home.

Anyway I was just given a quote from Tiffany Town cars (orlando) for $364 20% gratuity included for two ppl. You can all also call FL Tours, Happy Limo Town Car and Murray Hill. I'm still waiting on their quotes but I think I'll just call its quicker.

Hope this helps.
