I'm not sure if DME has a minimum age of 18, you might check the sticky, but the CM at the DME doesn't normally ask for photo ID.

My son does not want to miss school and has asked if he can fly down a day later. I have no problem with him flying alone as my mom will take him to the airport and it is a nonstop flight.
We travel to WDW often and we have used ME several times. My son is a very mature and bright kid and I am very confident he can manage checking into ME and riding to the hotel.
Does anyone know if this will be allowed?

If he is on your reservation, then you should call ME and clarify that he will be coming 1 day later. We are traveling with my niece who is on my mom's reservation. I am taking her on an earlier flight with me, but because she is not on my reservation, they said there will be a problem to allow her on ME. I have to call ME to clarify it so there won't be any problems.

I would recommend calling DME Guest Services to verify your answer directly with DME.

OT: Regardless of his mode of travel to WDW it would be a good idea for you to be at the resort (or wherever he will disembark) when he gets into Orlando so you can monitor and supervise things and perhaps get advice from the resort staff until he gets to WDW.

I agree, I would be waiting for him at the front of the resort. He also of course carries a cell phone.
