Hi, could someone please give me a little info on how this all works? I do know that it is basically transportation from the airport and they pick up your luggage so you don't have to, but what about when you leave? The reason I am asking is this. We are staying at POR in September and are using ME. Now we are going down with my brother, sis-in-law, nephew and my dad. My brother and his fam and my dad already had planned on going and my dad is driving 3 hours down to my brothers in VA, staying overnight and they are all flying out of Dulles together. We unexpectedly decided to go with them but will be flying out of Philadelphia. My brother and fam are going from the 13th-18th, we are going down the same day, but staying until the 21st. Now, on the 18th, we are all checking out, but my husband and I will be renting a car and going to stay at another hotel for 3 more nights off property near Universal. Here's the thing. Since we are getting ME for free, we are only going to rent the car for 18th-21st. We need to somehow get back to the airport on the 18th and pick it up. I was going to rent a car somewhere else near Disney, but we would have to get back to the airport somehow and it will be easier to just drop it off there. Anyway, sorry this is so long, but is it possible for us to just say we have a flight leaving on the 18th with everyone else, and then get the free ride back to the airport, and then instead of checking in, just head to the rental car place? Is this a huge no no? Also, what do they do with your luggage on the way back to the airport? Do you have to check that in yourself, or do they do that for you? If they do it for you, then how would we go about not having them check our bags, because obviously we will need them for the rest of our trip! Thanks for any and all help!!

You can rent a car at the main gate to MK and then turn it in at the airport. I beleive it is Alamo. You just won't use the return ME to the airport. We did it the other way, we drove in form South Carolina and dropped it off at the MK entrance and took the ME back to the airport after our stay.

There is no charge for the different drop-off spot just a higher rental fee. It shouldn't be too bad since both rental places are in the general area and deal with high volumn.

When you set up the DME ride back to the airport they ask for your flight number, etc. I don't know whether they would enforce it or not, though. You could certainly call (866-599-0951) and ask. It would probably just be easier to rent the car at Disney as the PPs have suggested.
