Just wondering - if you rent a car, can you still use the Magical Express tags and have your bags sent to your resort?
Yeh, logic would dictate that it would work the same in each direction, but logic isn't at work here.lil mermaid said:Thanks. Just checking - since you can check your bags at the resort I was wondering if you can do it in reverse.

Also, we have not received any information and we are leaving in less than two weeks, yikes! Should I be receiving something in the mail that I will need to show before getting on the bus? Thank you for any information!
DisneyFans4 said:Definitely call because in the package they send you is your pass to get on the bus and your luggage tags. Even though you have carryons you will need to put the tag on them because they go under the bus.

DisneyPhD said:Have you done this since the new travel restrictions? There is A LOT you can't bring with you on the plane now a days. Sunscreen, any liquids. I don't even think you can bring shampoo over 3 oz. It can get pretty complicated. You might want to consider checking your luggage, especially since you have DME and it won't be that much harder to do.
How long ago did you sign up for DME? We called about it last week (but had the DVC ressies a long time ago.) We got the tags less then a week after calling.
Incorrect.DisneyFans4 said:Definitely call because in the package they send you is your pass to get on the bus and your luggage tags. Even though you have carryons you will need to put the tag on them because they go under the bus.
The only "new" restrictions are for liquids in containers larger than 3 ounces -- nothing else has changed. To me, that's not too complicated. Think "3-1-1" ... 3 ounces, 1 quart-sized zip-top bag, 1 bag per person.DisneyPhD said:Have you done this since the new travel restrictions? No matter where I fly, I always have a well-stocked carry-on just in case the AIRLINE delays my luggage.
You see the photo in my signature below? The 4 of us flew to WDW 3 weeks ago.DisneyPhD said:Have you flown recently with a well stocked carry on? I am a little concerned about what they won't allow so we are taking minimal stuff. As it is, that should be easier anyway, not as much to juggle. I just don't want issues or problems at the inspections.
What is the quart sized zip top bag part?
I think you're reading CleveRocks' post wrong.DisneyPhD said:As long as that works for you. It could never for me, not with 2 kids and all the stuff I need. (extra meds incase the kids get sick, shampoo x 4 people, sunscreen, 3 oz isn't enough to cover my DH whole body.) I thought they were even giving problems with chap stick and such (under 3 oz.)
DisneyPhD said:Thanks for the description. Last time we flew was May 2006. I was just planning on not bringing any liquids, and I hadn't heard of the quart bag thing. However we always pack in zip locks anyway. I was wondering what to do about sun screen though since we are taking DME and won't have our luggage for a while. I was thinking of getting one or 2 of those sunscreen wipes they have now. DH just thinks hopefully Jan sun won't be too bad, but then again we are pasty white Michiganders.
brisus was talking about taking no checked luggage and I can't imagine doing that with a family for more then over night now a days.
