Magical Express "Yellow Tags"

Has anyone else NOT received those darn little "yellow" tags from DME?? We received our travel vouchers, airline tickets, etc., BUT haven't yet received our yellow tags. When I called on 1/23 they told me the tags would take 10 days to arrive and they were mailed on 1/12...we leave 2/4. She said she would request they be mailed again and it would take 10 more days (mail days I'm assuming). In which case we may not get them on-time.

I am a little upset that they can't just priority mail them. We live in IL, can't believe it would take 10 days to get them.

Anyone else having a problem??

Dd and I leave on 2 /12 and still havent recieved our yellow tags either.

We leave on 2/5 and we have not received anything, no vouchers, no tags, nothing. I called last week and was told they were mailed on 1/10. Still no tags this week so I called again Monday and was told they were mailed on 1/11? I can't believe it takes two weeks to come through the mail. But I still have nothing.
 
We leave on 2/2 and still no tags. Travel agent called them yesterday and after being transfered 3 times someone told them they had been mailed last week and that they are having a problem with the Postal Service delivering!! Yeah right!! They are supposed to reissue our tags and resend them. I figure if they don't come in time we will just go down and get our own bags and make them haul them on the people bus with us to the hotel.
 

So I'm having half of your problem... we are doing disney with a friend, but the tags just arrived yesterday and she may not get them (I have to mail half of them to her) by Friday... we leave Sat.

So I called the ME hotline and a very nice lady told me that she doesn't need the tickets since her name is on the roster. Also, she will need to tell them about her luggage at the ME check-in and they will still retreive her luggage and send it on it's way.

Why trouble yourself like that? Aside from the fact that one of the benefits of DME is not having to haul your luggage around, and that the bus driver (the person who'd be loading your luggage under the bus, then unloading it at the Resort) has absolutely nothing to do with any Guest getting or not getting the luggage tags, Disney has procedures in place for these Guests.
Bring your claim checks to the DME counter with you; the CM will take them, and show you pictures of luggage so you can point out what yours look like. These two factors will enable the BAGS people to pull your luggage before anything is sent to the luggage carousels and deliver it to your resort, along with the rest of the DME luggage.
 
i recieved an email today stating that they send out the ME luggage tags 21 days out, but takes around 7 days to get them.. hope that helps anyone. :wave2:

WE GOT OUR TAGS!! Finally, after going to Wal-Mart today to get ribbon to mark our bags just in case. Ours were apparently mailed on 1/12 and we just got them today 1/25- not sure why it takes so long to get.

Hope this helps anyone else...

We didnt get our tags. We grabbed our 2 bags at baggage claim and took them to the DME counter with us. No big deal, I was actually happy that we had our bags with us and not waiting for them to be delivered.
 
We just got our tags on Monday and we leave on Feb. 1st. But when I opened them they had one of our names wrong....I suddenly had a son instead of two daughters!

I contacted our travel agent right away and she apologized for the mistake. She told me they have been having a lot of trouble in general with the ME tags for some reason.

She said the wrong name wouldn't matter as long as they were tagged. I think we actually have enough with the correct names on them that we won't even need the others so that's good.

So I guess they are having trouble everywhere with them, maybe something in the system???
 
Our travel agent called today and the original set of tags came in. Woohoo.
 
Our ME Luggage Tags arrived today via U.S. (snail) Mail.

We're leaving in 17 days (on 2/13).

I think this is funny!! My parents got us the Florida resident rate while we are staying with them at POFQ on 2/8, They recieved the tags last week, ummmmm they live in Florida (an hour away). It is a good thing we sent our luggage home with them at Christmas time so we do not have to check anything on the way down there! :lmao:

just received our tags yesterday...we leave in 13 days. Our tags had the wrong resort on them....we are staying at Saratoga Springs and tags said Wilderness Lodge...called them right away and they changed it in the system and told me to just cross off WL and write in SSR....hmmm, should I be worried ?
 
We received our tags in the mail yesterday (Sat.) and we leave Feb 15. However, my DMIL's tags were included in our packet. Thank goodness they arrived early enough for us to mail them to her. :thumbsup2
 
We haven't received ours yet - and we leave 2/23. I made room only reservations but didn't have airfare yet. They mailed my room confirmation right away. I called back a week later with my airline schedule and to add DME and they said they added it - and I got a "modified" room confirmation right away again, but it didn't say anything about DME.

I figured I'd wait until early next week - and maybe just call them again. Do I call the reservation line (like I did for my room) - or is there a special # to call DME directly to see if they have my reservation?

I received my packet yesterday (so excited to get a disney envelope in the mail) and was disappointed to find that my last name was spelled completely wrong and the wrong hotel was listed. I called the number listed above which was in my package. The CM was very helpful and had all of my correct information in the computer. Did not know why the tags were printed incorrectly but is going to have a correct set of tags sent to me. This is my first time using ME so I hope everything goes well, but I have to say I've never had any problems with any of Disney's service.
 
It seems like most people have been getting their tags a few days before they leave. Apparently, they make them about 21 days before your reservation and then send them - so I was told it takes 10 business days to arrive after they go for print.

I hope you aren't leaving any time real soon... we leave on 2/10 and our tags came Sat as well with the wrong resort. The CM that i called told me to just cross off the wrong resort and she made sure everything was all set in their system. She didn't think another set of tags would make it to us in time. Hope all goes well too. I have never had any complaints with Disney either....so, I guess we will see.
